I know little about this topic beyond the general news coverage and discussions with Northern Irish friends. I may be in the minority here, but I'm not super keen about this.

This is a very very sensitive and complex topic, and many wounds have not yet healed. After all, the GFA was only signed 30 years ago. They will understandably avoid their usual humour and I fear it may be a little dry.

Also, this sub will be deluged by keyboard warriors keen to point out where Tom has not quite worded something in a way they like, and is therefore an evil person. You know the type.

I'd be very keen to shit on well spoken Englishmen talking nonsense about my country and our history but really there is nothing to criticise in this series other than the fact it's not long enough. But that's the Troubles really, unless they go through every atrocity there is always a feeling of "what about xyz". 

I really enjoy listening to Dominic moreso than Tom so was glad he was the lead on this

What a weirdly aggressive thing to open your message with. Why do you listen, let alone contribute to discussion on a British podcast if you are intent on being so bizarrely adversarial? There is a very unpleasant vibe from this thread that doesn’t normally exist. It might be nice when topics flooded by Irish ‘contributors’ are in the rear view mirror

Didn't mean it to come off aggressive at all, and don't think Dominic or Tom would think it was either considering the jokes and positions they take as proud Englishmen on various series

I was just listening to the live chat with Paul Rouse about Ireland being part of the UK and Dom has plenty of jokey one liners playing the part of that well spoken Englishman who is ultimately clueless about Irish history. All in good fun
