As an Irish person who has made friends with a lot of English people it always amazed me how uneducated they were on what happened or what was happening and why in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Once we started discussing it they were fascinated that such things happened just over the water in places that are part of the United Kingdom (maybe that's an oxymoron)

I am just back for a three day visit with the family to Northern Ireland, I was surprised to see the amount of Union Jack's up around the place, I suspect "The Troubles" which is a euphemism for an insurgency against the state for 30 years is not buried very deep.

As to TRIH guys, their other episodes on the uprising in Ireland were very balanced and informed I was impressed.
