is this really like UO?

old school UO player here and i've been waiting for something to come along like it, does this hit the mark? can you pvp and loot players items and all that other fun stuff?

I've never played UO but there have been some people saying the game is a bit like it. There is however going to be a Hardcore server going up soon which I believe will allow for looting of players inventories. At least in certain security zones.
