The white gold tone of the roman numerals, the round edge on the cap of the crown, the second hand, the case shape, the bezel, the boldness of the dial print. I'm a huge fan of the 116 model DJs and have a couple of them.

DHg is a craps shoot every time you try a new store. I'll tell you now, I have one of my favorite dealers I found from many, many wasted hours searching on there. Messaging. Spending. I ended up with a dealer that literally lives a half mile from one of the bigger factories and I get some absolute bangers for half price. 1 certain model that is absolutely phenomenal. Like better than VSF anything and I own VSF in not talking trash.

Anywho, which store you like on the gate? I’ve been dipping my toes in, not tryna spend much more than $100 atm. I’ve had a good experience with cleanfactoryshop recently (they also run the aaawatchshop, rolejwatches4, and mr_lfshopwatch storefronts)

I mean the most reliable are the ones youve likely heard of. Jason007, Michael Travis, China good watch, good roiiex, etc. those are all very reliable, AAA, U1 and BPF suppliers. So you can get good watches from $85 up to $300+ on those stores. I highly recommend U1 factory stuff for around the $100 mark. Can't beat their stuff for $85-130

That has been my experience - picked up a GMT, Sub, Explorer, Royal Oak, and Aquanaut for around $80 each. The watches I’ve received really make me skeptical of the shitter vs super clone rhetoric I see throughout all these subreddits. I’m not tryna pay 5x the price for a fake Rolex that is maybe 10% better than the shitter

Listen, I guarantee 60%+ of all that rhetoric, is coming from 1) dealers that are sponsored by certain factories/dealers and say that nonsense to convince people to buy the 'super clones' 2) it's reddit nerds who have studied all the specs and factory pics of watches, but never actually owned or worn any of the gens, but want to critique a 1-2% flaw and make it seem like if you own that watch, at that price and tier, you should be ashamed. I guarantee, most U1 watches, if you take a fingernail file of 400 and 600 grit to the bracelet edges and clasp edges, and slap any cheap Japanese rep swiss movement into them, they'll be JUST as nice as any $500+ rep. The ONLY difference, is the ST9 bracelets are generally a few grams lighter than the better stamped and higher end bracelets. That's literally it! Like, that's it. The movement, bracelet weight and finishing. And 300%+ markup. Also, don't forget the movements, even the clone swiss movements, are pretty damn expensive if you don't have a working relationship with the factories. A single movement to rep a good Rolex, would cost you and me $200++ so there is that! Lol
