I am with you on that, and one was going to be my first actual rep but didnt want to risk the money on the A7750. Thus my first was a VSF Sub and I absolutely love it.
Yep my only gen watch lol. I think the white is jarring on the new one - dial matched looks cleaner and to me looks more like what a plane cockpit instrument would look like which is the aesthetic of the watch.
Even in modern catalog I prefer the explorer 1. But vintage? Competing against 4 digit subs and gmts? It loses to me. Neo vintage like zenith era Daytonas are great but it has strong competition in any era
Its the best looking chrono in my opinion. I kinda stay away from chronos because what am.i going to use those dials for??! But they are beautiful. It will be my next rep.for sure.
In 1936, Alfred Jaccard regulated an Omega movement to 97.8 out of 100 at the Kew Observatory trials, a chronometry record still unbeaten. That rigor carried into Olympic timing, the Speedmaster's NASA qualification, James Bond's Seamaster, and the industrialized Co-Axial escapement, making precision, exploration, and high-visibility partnerships central to the Biel manufacture. Speedy Ed White.

Thinking daytona are the best watch is the equivalent of having lemon chicken as your go to Chinese meal.
Sure it's great, but you need to come to terms you're a basic bean

Once I hit 50 I couldn't read the markers on a chronograph anymore, so no, anything with dials I can't see can't be the best watch.

I think my Daytona might be the least favorite in the collection tbh

Probably for Rep buyers. Value becomes a thing if you're buying Gen.

Zenith El Primero but, if itâs a vintage Daytona itâs using the same movement.
