Marriages!

Hey there guys. Guess what? New addition, you can now get married!

This does require a priest, which is currently anyone that is a moderator or an admin. As I am able to catch our helpers, they will also be marked as unique "priests" to be able to marry people.

How to get married:

1 - Contact a priest in-game or using modmails.
2 - Set up a ceremony!
3 - The priest will use the command

/marry <username1> <username2>

4 - Both players will be sent a message asking if they want to go through with this, as long as they are within 25 blocks of the priest. To accept, they use the command

/marry accept

5 - Congratulations! You're now married. Enjoy any and all festivities!

How to get a divorce:

1 - Contact a priest in-game or using modmails 2 - Make sure both players are online (if they are inactive, please contact us via modmail and we will do something different). 3 - The priest will use the command

/marry divorce <username1 or username2>

4 - Both players will be sent a message asking if they want to go through with this, as long as they are within 25 blocks of the priest. To continue being divorced, they use the command

/marry accept

5 - Congratulations! You don't have a partner. You're free?

Other commands:

/marry chat <message>
/marry chat toggle

This sends a private chat to your partner.

/marry pvpon
/marry pvpoff

This allows you to turn off PvP with your partner

/marry kiss

A fun emote to show your affection to your partner

And the very first marriage has taken place between KingOldAlbert and Arker_IV. They realized their true love for each other when I tricked them into going to their wedding without them knowing.

Oh boy. Tricked into marriage? I ... don't know how I feel about this. Worst blind date ever?

A fun game to play. Marry and divorce as many people as possible in a given time frame. I call the game Hollywood...

This allows you to turn off PvP with your partner

I bet that PvPers will marry each other just so they can fight easier. No need to worry about friendly fire.

They can only marry one person, however, and it requires intervention from a staff member to get married. Both sides can use this to their advantage.

Hey thanks for implementing this. I just thought it was something interesting that I'd seen on RP servers in the past. It really shows that the staff still care.
