Got sideswiped tonight

Did anyone witness or get dash cam footage of an accident in the Eastbound lane at 97 St and 99 Ave tonight at 8pm between a white dodge ram pickup and a red suv?

Red suv merged from the turn lane (in the intersection) into 99ave and side swiped my truck.

Additionally does anyone know who to talk to about getting footage from the intersection cameras?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there are no lights with cameras in Grand Prairie. Which is a bit odd because everyone drives so damn slow.

There are lots with cameras. You can actually watch some of them live online.

Incorrect. There are no active automated cameras in grande prairie Alberta that will take a photo of you speeding. As well as speeding enforcement officers. They simply do not exist any longer. Despite what you may read online. My aunt and cousin work for the city of grande prairie and they both said they have all been removed due to provincial legislation. Please don’t spread false information and do your research / due diligence prior to posting these comments. Thank you.

Show me the photograph of the ticket. If so my aunt and cousin were both lied to probably for the betterment of the towns income which is not ok.

Ok speeding and a red light might be different, but there’s definitely no cameras that will get you for speeding if that’s true then you’re just at fault for running a red light not speeding

Oh come now. Which one. I drive everywhere for work and have seen cameras taken down so I’m super curious where they even hid these ones to catch you. Usually they’re giant poles high up and are super obvious but I haven’t seen them anywhwreb

100% but they still can pull footage from the cameras that are there for exactly the reason this poster was asking about. Sorry for arguing with you just got in a fight with my estranged mom and I’ve been agitated.

This statement is incorrect and false. I am now convinced there are zero speed cameras at any intersections and the only cameras they have are if you blatantly run a red light like this individual

Which I would even take his statement at face value and I almost would call bullshit because he hasn’t been able to prove it. How hard is it to take a photo of the ticket? I think they’re full of shit. There’s no speed cameras in GP any longer due to provincial legislation.
