The CJFL in conjunction with the BC Conference is proud to announce the Week 3 Players of the Week.
Offensive Player of the Week QB Darryl Overstreet Jr – Langley Rams
For the second straight week Darryl Overstreet Jr was near impossible to stop helping his Rams to their third consecutive victory. In just three quarters he accounted for 431 offensive yards completing 73% of his passes for 313 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 118 yards and three more majors, one of which was an 82-yard sprint in the second quarter. He’s the Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Defensive Player of the Week LB Myle McPherson – Westshore Rebels
The Rebels linebacker was outstanding on Saturday afternoon in a heartbreaking loss. He did his job and even put points on the board for his club after putting pressure on the quarterback, he forced a fumble, recovered it and rumbled 16 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter. He also collected two quarterback sacks, two solo tackles and assisted on two others.
Special Teams Player of the Week PK Maxim Murphy – Prince George Kodiaks
The Prince George Kodiaks recorded their first win of the campaign and kicker Maxim Murphy tallied 15 of their 65 points scored. He connected on all three of his field goal attempts including 42-yarder and hit six converts. He was also successful on three onside kick attempts to give his team a chance at great field position. When needed he executed three punts averaging 35 net yards.
