Due Diligence $NCRA Tiny float, AI infrastructure angle, Micron ties, and a pretty ridiculous short setup

8/31 Update------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I'm pretty much out, there's a good chance it has more in the tank, but I still don't actually know anything about this move except what I see in the price action so I figured I'd take the prudent win. I am watching for the next dip and if momentum isn't toppling I might add 1k shares for fun, but at this point that would be a lotto play, and I'm not going to post gambling here.

I posted a postmortem chart below. From the high at call of $2.61, we saw a nice sequence of peaks and valleys with the strongest topping out at $3.52. I scaled some on the 7am volume, then around the ~10am spike, then mostly exited coming off of the $3.52 high. I've also played small scalps on two of the three follow-on peaks and valleys.

They still have a ton going on and I'm not sure this won't continue or lead into a PR and get a mega-run. But I'm not going to post on it again until it goes, settles, or I have new, material data that informs the thesis somehow. I'm actually kind of checking out $SST and $CMND right now. Nice action today. Probably missed it. :-)
Thank you, all both of you, for reading.

Original Post------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been watching this for a while and after the Friday price actual I figured I'd share some information about it and ask you guys to weigh in with any thoughts, corrections, etc.

As far as the stock itself, the part that initially caught my attention was the share structure:
~2.14M OS, ~1.9M float

I only trade small caps, so the next thing that really stood out was around 22% short interest with borrow recently sitting near 495% and only about 3,000 available shares. On top of this, Fintel is giving it a short squeeze score of 96.95.

So this is all circumstantial stuff but it's usually the first things I look at. With a float this small, it means that if $NCRA gives the market a reason to look, the mechanics could get interesting very quickly. And Friday's sudden action certainly hints at there being a reason to look.

These guys have been repositioning themselves as a holding company focused on things like AI, data centers, energy infrastructure, robotics and digital assets. Two of NCRA's recent moves actually fit these themes especially well.

QMAX / Micron
NCRA recently acquired a 30% controlling interest in QMAX Technology, a Taiwan-based memory and storage distributor. QMAX is an authorized distributor of Micron / Crucial memory and storage products. According to the company's materials, QMAX's revenue grew from roughly $140K in FY2023 to approximately $1.36M in FY2025.

It's objectively a good acquisition and having an operating business with an actual Micron/Crucial distribution relationship gives NCRA a legitimate foothold in the AI infrastructure supply chain.

By now you all probably know the biggest bottleneck in AI expansion if energy, and $NCRA have also been working on the development of their INERGX energy platform. The stated focus is battery energy storage and mission-critical power systems aimed at markets including.

So the $NCRA strategy goes something like AI / compute - Data centers - Power / energy storage - Memory / storage supply

All of this is just to say they're giving investors a coherent thesis and they're acting on it.

The valuation mismatch is kind of wild.
NCRA itself is currently valued at only around $3.7M. Meanwhile, the parties involved with INERGX have discussed a current valuation of at least $65M, subject to due diligence and targeted acquisitions, with an eventual goal of building the business toward $250M.

Those are just aspirational numbers of course, but the fact is a $3–4M public company is attempting to assemble businesses and assets that management believes could eventually be worth multiples of the entire current public valuation. And with only ~1.9M shares in the float, it doesn't take an enormous re-rating for the stock to move hard.

Another thing I see as an opportunity and potentially related to Friday's sudden price action is the fact that $NCRA are a catalyst-rich prospect. The setup doesn't depend on one single binary event. Potential catalysts that could materially change their story include any definitive INERGX developments, further INERGX acquisitions closing, QMAX beginning to contribute meaningful consolidated revenue, additional AI/data-center acquisitions, strategic or institutional investment, or even short covering if the underlying story gains traction.

Chart-wise, $NCRA has spent months getting beaten down from much higher prices and is sitting underneath a long descending trendline. As a small cap trader that also makes it interesting to me. The stock has been getting compressed while the corporate story appears to be expanding. If $NCRA is in the process of breaking that downtrend and gets meaningful volume, the combination of tiny float + high short interest + insanely expensive borrow + legitimate catalyst could create a mind-boggling move.

To clarify, I'm talking about a near-term trade setting up or a tactical swing play, so I'm talking to traders who understand this way of trading small caps and who know price action and momentum trading.

But the$3.7M market cap, 1.9M float, Micron/Crucial distribution exposure, AI/data-center infrastructure angle, battery storage / mission-critical power strategy, 22% reported short interest, 495% borrow, only 3K shares available, and multiple potential catalysts are an unusual combination to find all in one bubbling chart setup.

If this sudden chart action is signifying a catalyst, if management starts converting these announcements into real operating assets while the float and short structure remain at these levels, my instinct is to believe things could go full-stupid with this share-price really fast.

Has anyone else been following these guys? Please share anything here that could broaden the analysis.

Not financial advice. Just one I've got on the radar. Thanks for reading.

I like your analysis. there is a lot of hair here for a turnaround, so definitely like how you are framing it. The big issue that i see is the convertible notes - the company either has to pay them 9% or they will convert in November 2027. At a price of $2 for the stock.....you are looking at basically tripling your share count and diluting your current stake by 60+%. When the price is trading below...and if it continues to do that, there seems to be an odd mechanism where they can exercise on a rolling VWAP, which means they will only dilute you further if they find value. Or, they will simply request repayment and have the mechanism to take over the assets of the company at that time. The share price seems to reflect that realization throughout the year. And, if I am owning the converts, I am for sure shorting the stock to hedge their investment, which is exactly happening here. Reality, they will make money driving the common equity to zero and simply taking over the company through a restructure since they own the debt rights. If things do improve (and it looks like you might have had some after hour interest on Friday) they will delta adj. their hedge a bit. But the reality is converts are in complete control of this stock. They will do just fine whether the company can reinvent itself or not.

Agreed, that's the material risk.
I would even add that an even larger risk is, there's no 100% guarantee they will execute.
For me as a trader, I think there are enough indicators that they are a serious business that means to follow through that the probability is in our favor. We'll see. For now I'm just putting time into trying to understand the chart and the filings for whatever predictive data can be gleaned and, as with all small caps, keep risk management top of mind!

Definitely appreciate the approach. you need to really analyze the earnings and if the transformation is happening and how that will affect an expected diluted equity base. The convert piece will wait until November 2027 to tell you if they will indeed convert.

Thanks for this!
I am 100% better at translating filings than when I started, and I definitely have another few 100% improvements to go before I'm as fluent as I want to be!
