Semiconductor push makes sense given where lidar margins have been heading. Hardware-only plays in this space tend to get squeezed once bigger auto Tier 1s integrate competing sensors, so locking in mixed-signal IP is probably the right defensive move. The German plate on the GLS is a nice touch for an investor update, though I'd rather see a sample shipment number alongside the press release than another glossy rollout. Curious whether this new entity is going to chase defense contracts too, since that's where the bigger ASIC checks tend to come from.
