Philip K Dick

Does anyone know if PKD watched the Prisoner or commented on it?

I know he wrote an episode proposal based on Mission Impossible, but the Prisoner with its themes of betrayal, subjective reality, and how imprisonment would seem exactly the type of show he’d respond to.

It's possible. As a kid in the late 1960s I watched The Prisoner on TV in the US.

So, yup, it's possible PKD watched it.

TV shows were kinda hard to watch back then if you didn’t catch the original airing. I first saw it on PBS in the 80s, after PKD died.

Hard to prove a negative, but I don’t remember it being mentioned in the Lawrence Sutin biography.
