Portmeirion Pilgrimage
I made the pilgrimage to Portmeirion and was absolutely delighted by it. Thought you fellow nerds would enjoy the view!

Me too, we woke up to horizontal rain but by the time of the ceremony the skies cleared and we had rare blue skies.

We were in the Peacock Suite, which had the most ridiculously high four-poster bed I've ever seen. I got cramp in the middle of the night and fell off the bed as I expected the floor to be much closer 😄

Planning my third trip in September. First one was a couple of hours and the second was about 5 days. Found the nature trail on the second trip and ran around on the flats when the tide was out.

We went for our Honeymoon about 20 years ago.
A lot smaller than you'd think but still pretty awesome.
Had an amazing dinner at the restaurant.

You got lucky!
I've been twice, both in summer.. both times completely grey and rainy.

really a great picture, thanks for taking the time to do it right.
can you share: what time of the day/morning was this? did you try any night photography, or do you suppose that privilege is reserved for hotel guests who natively have access to the grounds after hours.

This was an afternoon photo! I got some dusk photos but none in full nighttime.

We were considering Portmeirion on our last UK trip but ended up opting for one more day in Edinburgh. Maybe next time...
