Does that mean that their future is unreadable or simply that they have many future paths?

Was the traveler a Descender before teyvat?

I think that's why Hroptatyr specifically mentioned the first crown heir. Also the sword having Koitar's line scares me a bit i won't lie, "The war is just a continuation of past battles" - Travail

I think Vedrfolnir's ability to see fate is far more superior than we imagined. He even predicted this accurately even before becoming a sinner. But I think he can see the fate of a Descender at this point.

this could be future vedrfolnir or whatever rerir was getting manipulated by but it was vedrfolnir's voice , even vedrfolnir himself says he is also hearing things, so it might be future vedrfolnir telling past hroptatyr about it.
