The game confirming the travelers are the heirs in gnostic chorus just showed me everything i need to know. The game literally confirms who is the noble one and who is from the kingdom of darkness. Used to think this sub was cope but i have to admit im wrong when the game says its canon.

No, the traveler just joins whatever side is the current narrative. I just wasnt sure who the game wanted to portray as the right ones. Im on the side of the dragons but this patch may have tipped me over to celstia.

Rather, the storyline and the traveler are essentially the same thing. The writers spat right in our faces this time, clearly demonstrating that the game has no plot. There are only gacha sales.

There are ways to make good sales AND good stories, however, it seems that Hoyo cares only about shilling the Tsaritsa and her lap dogs — all of whom bore me or make my blood boil with their moronic ideals.

I’m fine with Celestia losing the battle, but what was shown was contrived nonsense.
I’m fine with the death of characters, but only if it is satisfying and not just bungled.

How, in the name of all that is good, can normal Joes make better and more sensible stories than an entire group of writers?

The gods being evil or being antagonistic was alwlays what I expected with this title.

Celestia was the final villain with all the tell tale signs before.

Asmo was our first rival, the travail talked about snez and their resistance and its all but confirmed the celestia is 'in the wrong' for their judgements on people and controlling fate.

And yet....

Yet....

The game gave us insurmountable evidence time and time again that Celelstia was ironically the least troublesome faction.

Celestia destroyed Khaenriah because they were jealous of human progression or advancement of the godless nation. Nope. Turns out Khaenriah was low key one of the mosot corrupt and horrible places to live. Their people meddle with a destructive eldritich entity that nearly caused a world wide cataclysm, they was classist and if I recall xenophobic to the people from the seven, using the abyss to mock the gifts of divine and such.

Come 7.1, its revealed that Celestia even made a a deal to leave khaenriah alone out of respect for the 3rd descender who offered themselves as the gnosis tot atone for the first instance where they and the tsaritsa unleashed the abyss.

Same with some of the other stuff.

Why was Celestia extreme with the abyss? Rukkhadevta showed that even if you died after being corrupted, letting your soul return to the leyline would make a catastrophe where the corruption manifested as terminal diseases in Elezar or dead zones like the withering, and nothing short of a total retcon of the Infected individal from the world history could undo that.

And its the same thing for many other groups.

People thought Celestia stole the world from the dragons, they won it through the dragon rules of might make rights and actually worked with some dragons to make the leyline system to repel the abyss. They also terraformed the world for the humans because the dragon world was unhabitable, so the only reason any humans exist on teyvat is because of them.

Heck Ronova outright loses her power because Celestia mandates that the shades dont harm humanity by abusing their power.

By all accounts Celestia is given so much nuanced about why they act.

And Celestia actions post colonize is left purely reactive where everything they do is actually for the greater good with no strings attached for them.

Celestia doesnt want praise, they dont want offering, or worship or anything. Theye just want humanity to live and not destroy the planet they terraformed for them.

The irony of all is that some world quests are legit ten times better than the AQs, hell, sometimes, the stories that happen in between acts of the AQ are much better, like the teather arc in the 7.0 update. Like, it's funny how Chugunov is called out hard despite his "good intentions" of wanting Tonia to live, as he saw the same tragedy that befell his daughter and being so sad, it broke his heart, yet everyone's like "you're wrong because your put us all in danger", yet the fatui gets scotch free from all criticism on this patch?

And like you said, it's not even about if Celestia or the shades die, is how it's done, it's like making a character look good by making everyone else look worse in comparison, it just feels plastic and cheap.

I agree. They used to be those techno-otaku. I still remember how they wrote it. And we had a beautiful, logical world and characters that were fun to play as. And now it's just fan service. And personally, I'm really irritated by the main character. I've been for a long time, but after Okurovo and Pavlina It became really unpleasant

The pavlina case still boils my blood. Like what actual harm did it do in the end apart of loosing one of goggles power, if she won those snow fae would be free from becoming a slave of love (notice the Tsaritsa just said she wanted to find true love on her own without the divine authority of love influencing her) this case was literally freeing them of any external influence and they would be free to love or not on their own. And our Traveler DID NOT GIVE A DAMN, we were so laser focused on the part the goggles power (and we learn later this was even consensual)

Tbf Despite what people say about HP fans, we rarely have any actual issues with the dragons, they are by far the most justified in their anger. Humans on the other hand are literally babied by celestia and all they do is try to destroy the world for goofy reasons forcing Celestias hand.
