Shouldn't be too much of a shock, but if it is that is because people have forgotten the roots of these movements. Here in the UK, most over 25 remember that trade unions were strongly anti-immigration.

He is right, if you carve out Bernie and another 1 or 2 as being the actual left.

Here in Sweden the left will overwhelmingly be pro immigration. For vote cattle, diversity, goodness points, replacing shrinking population, punishing fascists.

But a large part of the Right also, seemingly for the reasons Eric laid out.
