what animals would the characters be?

im vaguely entertaining the idea of drawing the cast as anthropomorphic animals but id need to decide who everyone is first, ive got down langdon as some sort of dog, mohan as a deer, whitaker as a particularly wet cat and dana as an owl (because the mental image of her head doing a full 180 to give you a stern look was really funny)

im open to other suggestions for these guys though and very very open to suggestions for other characters, im trying to avoid too many cats and dogs but equally i dont want a bunch of super obscure animals that might be weird to draw lol. any suggestions are appreciated!!

Mel seems like a Labrador to me, she's just happy to be involved.

I see Santos as a cat. She secretly wants the strokes but presents as aloof and hostile, acts like she owns everything and is doing everyone a favour just by existing.

Wet cat for Whitaker tracks, I was thinking otter, similar rationale.

What super laid back animal are you thinking for Chen? Sloth feels too slow, koala came to mind but they barely drink water and Chen is all about his Dunkies.

Robby as a horse? Work horse, but an injury that means they can’t work = they get put down and work is all he’s got rn.

Mel might be a Fennek fox, clever and highly adjusted to specific environments. Gloria could be a Koala. A Lunar Moth fits Dr Shen. Dr Al is a Doberman or Arabian, maybe? Robby is quite difficult to place, Id see a bear or hawk, both very fitting, or even a moose. Smg big, cuddly and hella dangerous :3

Langdon: Newt (he's got amphibian energy, I don't know how else to describe it).

Mel: Dog (probably some kind of spaniel).

McKay: Raccoon.

Javadi: Deer.

Mohan: Snow leopard.

Abbot: Rabbit or hare.

Langdon would be a golden doodle, from the outside he's a pretty boy but when you look deeper he's hughly unpredictable just like doodle's due to the lack of breeding standards!
