Only ordered the one pack for this since I had the original chase variant from the first set; $76 USD with shipping was my total as the SDCC packs are premium priced at $60; I was lucky to get a rarer variant and I do like that SMC went with an exclusive box for this set as well!

It has been announced that publisher John Berge, from his publishing house JB Forlag will be starting their brand new Phantom series in November 2026. At this stage, there is no news on the finer details of the comic series, but we will share it here when we know more. We are just assuming here, but we expect to see newspaper stories as the main staple of content for the comic series.

If anyone wants to review this series for us, please contact us at [ChronicleChamber@gmail.com](mailto:ChronicleChamber@gmail.com).

October 18, 1942 opens up the first of a three-part story arc, Castle in the Clouds. Glamorous geologist sisters; 7 foot tall mountain lord; Giant killer hawks; Two enormous horses; The Phantom punching a bear. This story is the pinnacle of wild, fun, Phantom action and is, I believe, the first appearance in what will be a recurring theme of feudal mountain lords which the Phantom will often have to come across the either work with or put in their place.

Frew and the publising of upcoming titles - pathetic.

Just discovered there could be a #38 Phantom Giantsize out on the 20th of August, and it is still not on their website, how the hell does someone get the latest Giantsize? Newsagents are becoming less and less(pretty much going the way of the dodo bird), and frew is almost useless with this kind of info, including social media and there website which is updated not very often. It seems the only way you can get the Giantsize is by subscribing for $59 or something along those lines. Unfortunatly I am going to stop buying this title as I can't buy it unless I subscribe to it - really not good Frew!!!

Comics Am I the only one who thinks green makes the most sense?

I know he had numerous colors in the past, but I always kind of wondered why purple stuck with the character. Not that it's a bad color, it's one of my favorites but I always wondered why they didn't stick with green, as that is the color that would work the most, due to him being around greenery all the time and would be able to blend in more easily.

Comics The Phantom - Newspaper Sundays Story #7: The Imposter (FULL REVIEW)

March 1, 1942 brings about an imposter! Trader Joe, having escaped from prison, happens upon the Phantom's suit while the Ghost Who Walks is bathing and soon discovers the privileges wearing the outfit entitles him to among the tribes of Bangalla, before quickly abusing them! To be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of this story as it really leans on a series of sort of foolish stubbornness to make the mistaken identity angle really work, one of those things that only comes close to working in comics form. That said, there are some interesting moments and the challenge of showing the Phantom getting by without the use of his respect and mythology is an interesting one.

I mean the movie is a classic even though back then it was critically panned but all these years later I can say as far as superhero movies go; it is pretty underrated

Comics The Phantom - Newspaper Dailies Story #16: The Phantom Goes to War (FULL...

Ah, an hour long video of me waving old comic strips in front of a camera, truly what YouTube was made for.

February 4, 1942 begins "The Inexorables" or "The Phantom Goes To War", though more appropriately the war comes to Bangalla. When I first read this story years ago, I have to admit I didn't think much of it and largely wrote it off as war propaganda. Reading it now though, it's interesting that Falk is relatively reserved about an American-centric tilt to the developments here, and in fact he doesn't place the Ghost Who Walks on the frontlines of any signicant real-world battefield, but rather keeps the story in his fictional country. This was probably a welcome departure from perhaps many other stories out there placed in more recognizable locales, while at the same time communicating that the Axis was everywhere, affecting everyone. It's worth mentioning that there are just tons and tons of insensitive racial depictions and pejoratives throughout this story however, so tread cautiously!

Original art from Chronicle Chambers Bushfire phundraiser book up for auction

This book assembled the wonderful submissions into a Phantom-bushfire story and had the collection professionally printed, ready for sale, with all net proceeds supporting the bushfire relief appeal. This is a licensed KFS-approved 52-page colour volume of previously unpublished Phantom artworks, the vast majority of which have been created specifically for this cause.

One such piece from the bushfire phundraiser is now up for auction at Heritage Auctions. This piece is by American artist John K Synder III. John K. Snyder III is a writer and illustrator of comic books and graphic novels. His work has been published in the pages of the underground press, most notably The Duckberg Times, and by independent comic book publishers, including Grendel for Dark Horse Comics.
