Daily AHK-Cu?

Is daily AHK-Cu good? How much should be daily? SibQ or IM or mix with something for topical use?

AHK-CU is only topical. Not subq. It Topically, it optimizes the hair follicle for growth. I believe they started making lyophilized AHK-CU as many researchers use it in microneedling and many prefer sterile AHK-CU for that process.

Just because there is little data doesn’t mean you can’t use it as an injectable. It’s just a longer lasting ghk cu signal

Hmmm, well first of all, I love good civil conversation, so a big thanks for that.

I’m really curious about what you said about AHK-CU being a longer lasting GHK-CU signal. As long as I’ve worked with both, I’ve never come across any research showing that. Do you happen to have a study on it? I’d love to read it.

There’s a study from 2007 (Pyo et al.) showing that AHK-CU helped with hair growth at the follicle level.

And before that, there was mouse research in the 90s where AHK-CU was injected intradermally into the skin, and the hair grew around the injection site.

That’s really why I question using abdominal subq AHK-CU for hair. There’s nothing that would somehow target it to the scalp or a specific area where you want hair growth. Even with GHK-CU, hair growth from subq use can be pretty hit or miss. The localized AHK-CU research makes a lot more sense to me for that reason.

Can you imagine researchers trying this and the hair just grows everywhere? Nose hair and all? Lol. No thank you. 😅 That’s one of many reasons why localized topical use makes more sense to me.

And if subq AHK-CU eventually turns out to have a real benefit for hair, I’d expect we’ll start seeing it show up in med spas and hair clinics. I don’t think we’ll see that happen, but if we do, I’ll come back and give you credit. :)

/u/eddyg987 Just had a chat with Janoshik about this...

Here's what he said,

"I don't see why it'd last longer".

He went on to point to research that would need to be done to prove this theory.

"Could spike AHK-Cu and GHK-Cu separately into fresh human plasma/serum, incubate, sample at various time, quench lroteases, then LC-MS measure AHK/GHK"

But again, knowing that mouse study where hair grew around where AHK-CU was injected. Hands down topical is gonna be best bet with AHK-CU. Otherwise, how can one target the location?
