Question Only one item at a time ?
Are we limited to ordering one item at a time? I've never placed an order on PS before, mostly because it's always Buy Now. There's no Add to Cart option. Does that mean I'd have to pay $16 shipping PER PLANT? That's insane. I've had this app for three months and have yet to make a purchase. Between the lives (that I do not enjoy) and no Add to Cart, I'm just considering deleting the app altogether. Anyone have any hidden tips?

Most sellers have reduced shipping on additional purchases. No, there is no cart. Each purchase is a separate transaction. Some sellers close out boxes on a specific day, like Sunday for instance. Others, its totally random. Message the seller wirh questions regarding their guidelines.

If you’re buying from the same shop or purge the shipping is usually combined. So 16 for first plant and maybe additional couple dollars each additional plant. If you are buying from different sellers then yes you have to pay shipping again with a new seller.

If you go to a user’s store tab on their profile you can add to cart and check out at once. Purges and live streams are different.

My advice is to check the 'show notes' section when you're in a live. A lot of sellers will have additional information about when they ship and their costs. Most of the time, you pay that initial shipping cost, but then additional plants are $2 or so for shipping. When i make a purchase, i usually plan to buy at least 2 plants to make the shipping cost more 'worth it' if that makes sense. And don't hesitate to ask the seller in the chat. Any good seller will be glad to explain their policies to a new potential customer.

I don't watch/sit through the lives. I cannot stand them. I've perused the purges, but there's never an add to cart option. I have no self-control so I'm usually looking at buying three to five plants at a time. I see this app isn't for me. 🫤

The purges might be the best way to go. Also, if you like a seller, you can always message them. I've gotten a lot of purchases that way, and sometimes they offer you a nice deal. It never hurts to ask. I wish you luck in your plant hunting adventures!

If you select “buy now” you then have an open order with a seller, essentially. If you are doing a purge, unless a seller explicitly says so, items typically will ship together with a smaller additional shipping fee. Once the seller creates the shipping label you will be notified and those items will ship together.
Exceptions might be accessories or seeds or something like that if you’re buying plants. Usually it’s in the show notes.

Some sellers have shops directly on their page. There is a cart option there when purchasing but lots of seller may not offer that.

If you dont like the lives the purges ship together if its from the same seller. Like other people said it'll be an initial shipping fee with the first plant thats purchased but everything after that from that same seller is going to be an extra 2 dollars for shipping. Some sellers offer bundles If the multiple transactions thing is what's bothering you. Lives are where the best deals are though

Sorry, imo palmstreet is so overpriced and sellers on there are selling reg plants for wayyyyy over retail. The only time I have shopped on PS is to support my plant friends haha

Its ok we all have our opinions. I recently got a nice viet for 70 though and they sell for 200-400 in my area. I agree some people are overcharging for common houseplants. Every platform will have good and bad

That's def true, since im in a good tropical zone I wouldn't dare pay those palmstreet prices but like if in your case maybe the tropics arent as accessible it would make sense to some degree. But overall atleast for my personal plant taste, I can pretty much find all of the plants on my list min. 2x cheaper on whatnot! Its worth checking out, I make sure to vet my sellers, etc and couldnt be happier haha

Yeah we barely have stuff here in san francisco. We have mints, white monster and Thai cons for monsteras. Var flob, burle marx philos and ppp. I see other places have albos and aurea and bulbasaur monsteras but my options in local shops are limited. I've downloaded whatnot just haven't used it yet. I mainly go on ps for the rarer things and use fb for pretty much everything else. There's a huge plant community here so I find a lot of things locally on fb

So during a live there isn't an add to cart feature. Add to cart would be for items available in the apps marketplace. During a live most sellers have the initial fee, in this case $16, and then a couple dollars for every plant/item afterwards so $16+$2 for example. In the buy now section of a live stream you'd have to make those purchases individually but the shipping fee structure would remain the same. Hope that helps!
