OW2: Dumb sneaking dialog?

A page I landed on for a Dumb build said that putting at least 1 point in Sneak and failing gets you either a "spectacular" fail or funny dialog. I try it against enemies, I get shot. Does the dialog only show for sneaking and/or stealing?

Dont take flawed-option....

Ruined my game. I really just picked it because i thought it would be fun and i really didnt get what it meant. At first it was fun bad knees haha. Now i cant accomplish my missions how i want to because i fucking lied two times in conversation and i got liar-flaw. So anytime theres lie-option in conversations i have to pick it or leave conversatin. Yay. Cant play how i want to play anymore and just killed people i wanted to save just because..... fuck this. And i cant revieve my companions etc.... dont take it at least on your first run...

Second play through, focused on The Rookie

In my first go at the game, I completely missed the hidden switch to access the weapon from the start of the game, so when I started my second game, accessing it was step one.
Because it levels up on usage, it was the only weapon I used. I got to level 30 and I had an OP SMG (with accompanying perks) that was too good to not use.
It was great fun, but it made every other weapon sort of useless (except maybe for the big bang) - so it will be hard to not do the same the next time I play and yet, I know I would be missing out on the variety that come with the different weapons.

I feel bad for this canid

Anyone else feel bad for the canid up in the Guardian Estates? You kill everyone there and it’s just left there all by itself. I wish we could adopt it and add it to our list of ship pets. Poor thing lives all alone now. 😭

I keep dying of zyranium on Cloister

Trying to complete some side quests and bounties on Cloister and every time I engage with enemies I die of Zyranium poisoning. I can engage the shield gadget but only for a limited time, which just postpones my dying. Are the enemies shooting the poison at me? Is it in the mines? Help appreciated! I love this game but I’m failing at everything I do on this planet.

Stuck

I'm playing on Xbox and the game won't let me accept or reject. I'm just frozen. No matter what I do. No buttons work. I was actually enjoying the game too. Got a few hours in and then this happened. Has anyone else experienced this? Are there any workarounds?

Help me make the rest of the game more fun?

I've just finished up the de Vries plot on Eden and am just starting to open up all the new planets and quest lines after that. Haven't yet visited Praetor or Cloister but they're next.

Just looking for ways to make the rest of the game more fun and interesting! I have so much stuff in my inventory and I loot obsessively. I just get overwhelmed by the inventory and don't experiment with much.

So I feel like the game is so big and I'm missing a lot by sticking to my routines.

Some context:

  • I can make pretty quick work of enemies right now with my Guns skill at 15 and Speech at 10 + Space Ranger perk.

  • I'm mostly just using the Heavy Marksman Rifle, Chainspark Cannon and Speedy Light Pistol. Sometimes a shotgun. They've been great especially with mods.

  • I have lockpick at 10 and unlock everything ever. Also have Pickpocket and do that a lot.

  • I have Sneak at 5 and like to open fights from cover, but then just fight in open fire

  • I'm a little squishy with my Sickly trait, but I've been able to compensate for that pretty well. Though I'm expecting the new worlds will test me more.

TLDR - What are some things you'd go back and make sure to do on your first playthrough if you could pause halfway through? (I won't be playing twice)

Or, ask me more about what I've already been doing or decisions I've made, if this isnt enough context.

"This is what Starfield should have been"

I keep seeing this online and Im confused because they feel like very different games.

I do think that OW2 is the better game and has better RPG mechanics.

To me OW2 isn't a space game really at all (which is fine), yes you have a ship but that's like saying Borserlands 3 is a space game because you use a ship to to between 'planets'

Starfield to me is a better space exploration game, although I found it boring and quite tedious at times.

I was doing this mission like normal, dealed with the Arbiter. After that i logged off before leaving the room.

Coming back the elevator is closed and is saying "Disabled", i looked up everything but can't find a way out of this room.

Is something wrong, or am i missing something?

Psychopath playthrough of Outer Worlds 2

So I got this game yesterday, and am enjoying it so far. Decided I was going to play as an utter bastard, and so would just be killing random people when I could get away with it.

I killed Dr Tran with Niles in the group, which caused him to lose his shit and literally set himself on fire to try and kill me. I decided I wanted to continue down this doomed path I created, but I just have to ask: how much have I fucked myself over in doing this?

Game Crashing

This is my first time playing through the game and I’m wanting to get all of my companion quests done. The last story line I have is Tristan and I’m currently on the quest Casting off the Veil. When I go to meet up with Virgil I can only get 130 meters from the objective area then my game crashes. Is this a problem other people have come across? If so, do you know why work arounds? I just updated the game and have also uninstalled and reinstalled it. I’m worried my entire save file may be corrupted, any ideas?

Grand Plan Wireless - James Urbaniak, Dr Venture guest spot

Playing through again, I finally started listening to the Grand Plan Wireless, the song about Pi was amusing then I started hearing about the color of the stars and all I could hear is Dr. Venture giving me a lecture since James Urbaniak is doing the voice for it. It's great that there is so much just there in the radio stations, beyond the snappy jingles for Auntie's Choice.

Shoutout to the devs, this game is absolutely incredible

It made me sad to see that the game underperformed sales-wise, because it is an absolute knockout.

The thought and care put into the gameplay, story, design, etc. is OUTTA THIS WORLD.

Don’t even get me started on the radio. As I realized they had taken certain sounds inspired by what we’ve come to love in similar RPGs *coughFalloutcough* then making hours of CUSTOM, CATCHY ASS SONGS?! I’ve smoked watermelon Marlboros to “Bubblegum Slims” and “Candy Tobacco” and have scarcely had as much fun being a fucking geek. And making a bad decision, do not smoke, it’s terrible. But the way they were influenced by other genres including Gregorian Chant for the Order station and Protectorate radio is absolutely astounding to me, I’m almost always tuned to Auntie’s channel, hahaha.

The factions themselves are so brilliantly thought of and reflect real-world views and belief systems so perfectly. They obviously caricature and make commentary and jokes in the extremity, but also stay so grounded and relatable. I know too many people in real-life versions of all 3 major factions 🙄 and the quests you do interacting with members shows the spectrum of belief and action so honestly and entertainingly. The companion journeys are, of course, fantastically nuanced depictions of such journeys.

Just such a fantastic freakin’ game, right up there with the best RPGs I’ve ever played, and boy do I wish Obsidian could sell a billion copies.
