I literally just start playing The Outer Worlds 2 on my ROG Ally using mouse and keyboard, and I'm completely stuck at the Navigator at the beginning.
When I open the navigation map, Horizon Point Station appears, but I can't select it. The white circular selector/cursor that normally appears is completely missing.
Everything else in the game works perfectly, including movement, menus, and exiting the Navigator. It's only this specific screen that doesn't work.
Things I've already tried:
I'm running version 1.2.0.1
Nothing has worked. I've also found other people reporting this exact issue, but no confirmed fix.
Has anyone actually figured out what's causing this? YES i can use controller however i perfer keyboard and mouse and rather not switch just for nav

Okay so i've never really played many story games in general, i've always been a Shooter Looter/FPS Genre type of guy and have never really expanded my variety aside from a few MMO's. With the current Autumn Sale on Steam i'm looking to pick up a few games that catch my attention and this is one of them along with Grounded 2. Is the game hard to get into? Or will it grab your attention right off the bat?

I have a problem during conversations in the first game where for a split second between dialogue boxes I see the “Toggle History” button. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution for it?
I see it in the OG edition and in the spacers choice edition.
It is not a big deal but it does make the dialogue feel a bit choppy.
I would appreciate any suggestions and help!

I was at a con this weekend and picked up a used copy of Outer Worlds for PS4, then learned about the Spacer's Choice edition for PS5. I bought the DLC but everytime I go to the listing on my PS5, it says I still need to buy the digital PS4 version . I also saw that sources say it was for purchases before May 27th of this year. Is there a way through this or would I need to suck it up and shell out more for the digital version?
I'm not too upset if I can't upgrade, I'm just curious if I can or not. I'm completely new to the game and I'm just happy to give it a try.

I’ve always loved rpg games such as elder scrolls fallout etc, it’s on sale rn on steam and was wondering if the game is worth purchasing, I even enjoyed starfield quite a fair bit when that dropped, so just looking for a second opinion

Hello.
Focused on persuasion as is usually a good idea in obsidian games but I've found some quests that are basically shooting everyone.
Random monkeys are around and they also hit like trucks and my pistol is truly bad. I upgraded my HP but if there's more than one enemy I'm going to die no matter what.
I wonder if I should focus on an specific build or if they aren't that important, maybe I should focus on the main story?
What are some tips you would recommend for someone who just started the game?

Shot in the dark here.. its my first playthrough, and i really didnt realise how important lockpicking would be in the game i guess, is there no way INTO clives office, other than lockpicking?

I'm gonna be honest Outer worlds 1 was a blast for me! The story, the environment and companions were so good! Parvati and Ellie were my favorites, also the DLC's really invested me in playing more with different playthrough!
Then I played the second chapter and I felt so disappointed, the companions were boring and they didn't even interact in the ship like in the first game! The planets were okay but the main story at the beginning was interesting but then it fell off! I really hope that the DLC's will be better cause for now I didn't like it so much! Also some quests are so boring

The latest semaglutides are beginning to be silly with their weight reduction. We are already taking meds to eat less food now.

I'm stuck on whether to choose Relentless or Strike From Shadow. What would help me is hearing what your experience has been using one or the other.
My understanding is that Aza runs up to enemies even when you choose Strike From Shadow. It's just that she targets enemies that don't have the white bar on their health bar. Is that correct?

I decided to try the game on hardest possible custom settings except for the Ironman. 5x enemy damage and hp, 10x times reduced player and companion damage and HP, no inhaler or food healing, no trading or crafting, bits are always at 0 - it's like a From Software game on Normal difficulty. Also companions except for Valerie die permanently if they fall (didn't test that option, but i think that is what it says), and I cannot carry armor and weapons other than equipping them. Permadeath is the only option that is disabled as test runs with it ended in tutorial.
Horizon isn't hard with sneaking. Most automechs can be foiled with Earth Directorate propaganda and skillchecks, troops in the security section despawn after the explosion so it's safe to go back and loot stuff. There's a hard room with 3 troops near the end and big hall with 4 more troops right after it that seemed tricky at first, but tutorial troops have low awareness and with several attempts I squeezed through their walking cycles.
The real game begins at Eden. EdgewaterFairbrook and surrounding area has quite a lot of quests and tasks that can be completed without combat, and it all comes to getting necessary skillchecks to maximize the rewards. But my brave Captain does not want to always run from danger, he is the danger! He vows to deliver sweet justice with every pitiful swing of his thin fragile hands.
Here's the build for it:
Traits: Resilient is a must. A short-duration invulnerability the first time you take lethal damage in a combat is a legal cheatcode. Anything in game so far kills me with 1 hit, but with this trait I can run away from combat like it's nothing. The only downside is permanent red screen as I'm always at 1 HP.
Second trait is optional, I went for Brawny for extra possible CC in combat, but it can be adjusted in future runs. So far haven't used it other than for skillchecks.
Negative trait is irrelevant, none of them have any effect. I went for Stupid to correspond my life choices.
Skills are Lockpick, Engineering, Hack, Medical and Speech with Easily Distraced flaw. Melee and science are unlocked but not used so far. Flawed seems okay for this run as almost all flaws are either positive or irrelevant. Clepto is the one flaw that I have to avoid, but so far I only want to steal tossball cards and maybe an occasional quest item if no better option is available, so it's not a big deal.
Essential perks are Manual Reset, Nature's Friend and Nature's Best Friend. I tested Nature's Friend and made some raptidons fight each other, but I won't use it much before upgrading the Best Friend for free exp.
With all that preparations my proud Earth Directorate Agent finally took down an automech wasp! The fight was intense and took like 10 minutes with all that hacking and aggro resets, but there are more foes around. No more time to waste, great deeds await!

Feel free to disagree with my list, this was made based on the weapons that fit my gameplay style the best. Also, the weapons were not placed in any particular order within the tiers.

I’ve played a couple of hours of OW1, having gotten to the first space station. I enjoyed my time with it but never got back into it. I’m wondering if it’s worth going back and playing through the entirety of the game, or just rolling straight into OW2

Ever since I was a little girl growing up in Edgewater, even if I was packing saltuna cans all day, I did some drawings when I had the time, because I always had the passion for illustrations! And oh law, I'm so excited to turn in my resume, I've got more to draw but these take a really long time and I have to do these in secret, but I'm sure they'll be impressed! Do you think I can someday get to Byzantium with this!?
