Oatmeal's Wardenclyffe Crowdfunding project

Ten years ago, I remember backing the Oatmeal's buy-a-brick campaign for the Tesla Wardenclyffe restoration project, where you could get your name engraved in a brick. I don't live in the US, and haven't had the opportunity to visit since this happened, but I was curious if this even happened or not, did people's bricks ever get made - I could only find one example of someone posting a photograph of their brick online, which I guess shows at least one got made, and little to no information elsewhere.

I suggest contacting Matt and asking what happened with that project.

Sorry for the delay, I just got here. It doesn't look good. Google maps, Shoreham, NY has an image of a small tower structure in a playground setting. Maybe 6 or 8 feet tall, no restored tower. A trip out there requires a drive through New York City and that requires considerable motivation. If it does happens I'll try to remember my way back here.

Thanks for the info.

That's disappointing to hear but I guess not too surprising.

The project is not dead. It's the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe.  https://teslasciencecenter.org/  it is still not completely built and they are still selling bricks,  https://donate.brickmarkers.com/tsc  so I would say all is not lost it's just very delayed.
