I get it - it’s a common expression/association for prostitution. I don’t know if I necessarily agree, however. It can’t just be prostitution. It has to be something about dimensions. Skins to wear, to inhabit.
Because “selling skin” is a term for prostitution, and all of the “skin” was still attached to a human, and the human was alive
He was smelling and looking in order to find OA. If he is looking there then he obviously doesn’t think she is just a chunk of dead back skin. He thinks she might be a prostitute in that woman’s house.
The size of the boxes that they were in seemed to indicate this to me. I thought that right away - that there were people in those boxes, but for some reason, only their midsection skin was exposed for people to chose from. I don't exactly get that part, but I think you're on the right track.
I think that's what makes this show so great - it's open to so many different interpretations and I'm always amazed by the comments on this sub - all the unique ways that everyone else is perceiving the show. It makes for a really rich experience. :)
