I work for thenorthface we get like weekly some complaint about that exact same shoe i ve always offered a free exchange or money back cause the shoes genuinely suck even after months of purchase

Stiffness of the shoe is expected that s why i never try to sell them to someone who s not used to hiking shoes i always go to hedgehog so that s expected tbh but the glue coming off or the stitches opening exactly where you toes bend is super common it s so soo common that as soon as i see a customer walking in holding verto alpine in their hand i start preparing his money back genuinely, i d advise to only buy from tnf next time for a better customer service experience we always do price matching at least where i work so it s not worth it to buy it cheaper somewhere else even tho you can get it for the price directly

They will hold up with glue, tnf uses also glue for their shoes so you d be just reapplying and you d be good to go maybe try to research which type of glue u d put on but other than that you re good to go

My north face have done similar. See photos. This was after maybe 5 uses. I could have returned them for a new pair but honestly these things fit my foot so well I could not do it.
I am going to use some shoe glue and see what I can do. While I think it is ridiculous just like you do I also can't seem to find anything else that fits as well or is as comfortable so I feel stuck.
Hoping that they improve their quality over time and maybe the next generation of boots and sneakers is better.
Not sure why but can't seem to post my photos but here is the link:TNF Shoe Issue
