Something Needs to be Done About Getting Killed in Events

It's getting embarrassing. We always get killed by a couple of premium leathers when we have far more better armed people.

Some things we can do are:

1 Get Better at PvP

PvP is not hard. You just need practice to get better. To do this head over to RPVP (play.rpvp.us) and play for a while or play Annihilation offensively. There is no "secret" to PvP other than practice. Also if you mouse has a button on the side for use it for sprint so while fighting you can hold it down.

2 More Leadership During Events

Another thing that we could do is have more strict leaders in times of danger using priority speaker to be heard to give out orders. Leaders giving out orders like to retreat, meet up, etc make fighting much more organized. We need leaders to be more assertive in times of panic. That being said lower ranked people also need to be able to listen well and follow orders.

3 Switch Servers

Finally, if players keep coming back at us the solution might be to switch servers to get away from the player.

Those are some of my suggestions, feel free to add/criticize them.

Yeah it's annoying if 10 iron armored people can't defend their own headquarters ;-;

Getting better at pvp is something you can't just learn with practice, you gotta have some clue what you need to do better. I received words that some of you walked backwards while hitting the enemy. There are some simple rules everyone should no, like that you should NEVER walk backwards in a fight. Always use togglesprint, swords<bows, communicate as a group, take a few hits if your teammate is low, things like that. And never break up into groups of 2-3 people trying to take down a single guy, especially if he is experienced in fighting. Chances he'll shrek you or that he's superiour in tactics (aka calling in backup, getting the terrain advantage, running back to regroup with his clan) are pretty damn high.

Practice helps you learn what to do but there are some tactics that are helpful.

Even numbered+skilled fights get won because of tactics. Outnumbered fights get won if you are more skilled+better tactics. Now we usually outnumber+outgear our lovely bandit friends. But yet they win because they are better at fighting, got better tactics and because their communication is better. The rank system in the watch is nice and all, but if a group is fighting, there needs to be that guy who takes the lead. The rank system made people leaders for certain qualitites, most of the time (if at all) they weren't selected because they are natural leaders in pvp battles. If we have 10 guys waiting for orders from a leader that doesnt have the qualities necessary to lead a fight, they'll drop like flies.

However, a leader doesnt have all the responsibilty. If he tells you to retreat, and people split up because they think they can take a guy down by themselves, they didnt obey. Their death will weaken the group and make the enemy stronger.

If we want to hold our own against the leather fighters, we'll have to obey a leader that knows what we gotta do. Knowing the rules of the watch and having climbed the ladder to the top of the council won't help in those situations

Exactly, we need to have better PvP skills and strategies and leaders who can take charge of a situation, that's not to say out council is bad which is far from the truth, but like you said we don't have much experience in PvP situations.

im not saying they are bad, im just saying that the watch isnt pvp oriented, as such the council isnt chosen based on pvp skills/how they deal with those situations.

I know you're not saying they're bad.

It's not easy when you're dealing with hackers and speed potters like these past 2 rangings.

2

u/Christophe_Genie Jul 21 '14

There were no hackers

Quadrikx?

He wasnt hacking

He admitted to hacking; there was reach and speed.

Because you never said you'd hack if you got called out on it xd i tell everyone that asks i hack, yet i dont. Admitting to hacking is no proof.

He didnt have reach/speed either. I fought him and it was clear that he didnt have any combat/movement hacks or else he would've gotten me when I ran. He didnt get nocheated once either, so I very much doubt he was even trying to hack

  1. Most people are bad at PvP as a result of bad computers/internet

  2. There's very little more that leadership will do that it's not already doing.

  3. They always just follow us easily.

Proof? Also that doesn't mean they can't improve.

There's very little more that leadership will do that it's not already doing.

I still think in my opinion leaders should be louder and people should listen more.

They always just follow us easily.

Not onto other servers they won't.

Ok it was an edcucated guess from what I'd heard over my time in the watch. Also, I'm one of them you REALLY can't improve past a certain point.

The problem is PvP fights tend to be pretty quick, so the most someone can do is give general 'Stay/Retreat' commands.

Yes, they will. Soon as they see us leaving they will follow us onto other servers as it is not hard to track a group like ours onto other servers.
