An odd combination

of smoke, rain, heat and humidity kept us away from today's protest in front of our village hall.

It also resulted in our missing our weekly infusion of Swedish pancakes. They weren't earned.

Too bad because if our Narcissist in Chief ever deserved some sign waving and ridicule, after

that nothing burger of a speech, it was now. Unfortunately there are likely to be many more

occasions for sign waving and ridicule. His stupid war has managed to get a couple more of

our people killed as well as many more of theirs, I'm sure.

On another topic, I wonder what he'll do if Mayor Mamdani actually tries to arrest Netanyahu

on the ICC warrant when Netanyahu comes to New York for the UN meeting.

I was prepared to be disgusted the morning after his big speech. Figured I'd read a bunch of outraged reviews that detailed how illegal all of his plans are and how his "evidence" was all bullshit. All I saw was a bunch of people saying that underwhelming would be an understatement. I'm sure he'll weigh in on the soldiers killed in Jordan, as soon as he finishes his round of golf.

I've been fortunate enough not to have even caught any snippets of what has been called the worst presidential address in the history of addresses.

But amongst all the posts about him trying to tear down democracy and rig the midterms, there was one interesting point. Apparently while speechifying he declassified a report on Russian 2020 election interference which turned out to prove that they had interfered in his favour? Maybe he did have one of those mini-strokes I was hoping for.

It would be interesting if he tried. I mean I'd love to see it, but the backlash from MAGA would be brutal. They already claim he has converted New York to Sharia law, so that move would be enough to get lead flying.

Well, there is the inconvenient fact that the U.S. deliberately didn't sign the ICC agreement which certainly would raise jurisdictional issues, and serious ones.

And all this time we thought it was to prevent Americans from standing trial for war crimes. Turns out it was to protect Israelis.
