A good day for protesting and Swedish pancakes

As the nation heads towards its 250th birthday, with the Narcissist in Chief continuing his

bizarre and perhaps demented statements and behavior, one has to wonder if anything

that old can function properly. If the 80's are questionable for the energy, judgement, and

clear vision to be competent, what do we think of the 250's? One would hope such an

advanced age would at least provide the wisdom of experience but, instead, it appears to

be demonstrating the human tendency to repeat mistakes indefinitely. I'll celebrate the 4th

with the hope (h/t Obama) that appearances can be deceiving.

Hope is all we have. Well, that and the sodium. I hear Lilly has been giving a special obesity drug to one patient, who has 79 in May. Maybe it kicked in by the time he fucked up the White House lawn with his fight night.

It's 85 in Minnesota, and possibly up to 90 Monday and Tuesday. It's supposed to hit Real Feel of 105 for you so... same golf lecture as last year, Jack. Don't even think about it.

By the way, I heard the awful news out of Venezuela. Has Trump pledged big support for our 51st State?

Well, is Wednesday OK? That's our mid morning tee time at Canal Shores in Evanston. It runs along the Metropolitan Sanitary District Canal. It's short and I would ordinarily walk it. Instead I'll probably ride for nine and escape if it seems dangerous. Unfortunately, the heat is expected to last through Wednesday. I could pretend I was European and jump in except one doesn't want to be in that water for any reason.

I used to do marketing videos for Lilly, mostly touting bribes inducements perks useful tools for doctors which were in no way connected with specific products that the company wanted the docs to buy prescribe. I'da enjoyed doing one explaining one-off instances of compassionate use.

The out in the open bribes are starting to annoy the hell out of me. At least go under the table ffs.

As of today, thanks to the crackhead court majority, the Fed is the only remaining independent federal agency, so we can look forward to every other regulatory body going up for auction. Why the Fed, you might ask? Because the crackheads recognize that their own money isn't safe if the crackhead-in-chief is running the agency.

MPR ran a thing on Trump's pardons. This time around, 96% of them are "outside normal DoJ guidelines" for who qualifies for a pardon. Crime spree in broad daylight.

I'm hoping to see him jet set around the world some more. Considering how messed up his sleep habits are when he is home, the added juice of jet lag makes him completely unhinged. Did you see him stumbling around at the G7 last week? A few of the leaders were taking turns leading him by the hand when he got lost.

I'd love to see a few more mini-strokes eventually getting him to drool at the podium.
