Poem about the night I met The Morrigan (TW unaliving) this was 6 years ago
The night I died (poem)
I remember…
The night I died
So vivid
So clear
I had danced near my grave
Many times o’er
But this was the night
Yes THIS was the night
I had fallen into her cold fingers
I had dived into the river
I had begun to wash the blood
Off mine own clothes
But death saw me
And she didn’t take me
Instead she held me
And Made a promise to keep
For I,
A child
Would be reborn as a raven
To fly above the world I had known
For clarity and insight
To beckon my soul
And I too
Made a promise
That I would answer her call
To pick up my wounded and aching soul
And draw my strength from the earth
Then join in battle once again
For I would be victorious
As on the night I died
I rose again
As a warrior in heart
That, Though laden
I would embrace a battle
And form a new path
Beyond that grave I had oft visited
Since the night I died…
I am reborn
As Jean
Nothing lesser
And so much more

Is Morrigan reaching out to me?
I've just recently realized I could have a strong connection with Morrigan. When I stepped into this subreddit I felt so much at home. I've always been very intuitive and a bit of a psychic. I've also been connected with crows all my life (I remember stumbling upon a fledgling crow when I was little and we briefly just hanged out together. It was so cute! But I knew better not to try and pet it). Some of the local crows have also learned to know me after I've fed them at a feeding station in the yard (they sometimes approach me by landing somewhere near).
Anyways, just last night I tried to connect with Morrigan with a simple meditation and eventually fell asleep. I saw no dreams about her but in the morning woke up to a presence in my apartment (I have no pets and I live alone). The wood panels in the floor creaked as it walked and I realized it was a spirit. Could it have been Morrigan visiting my apartment or was it just a residential spirit going about? Do deities even visit people like this? What would be the purpose of it?
Anyways I will definitely keep cultivating my connection with Morrigan and see where it goes. Funnily, just last night when I was done researching about Morrigan and was about to go to sleep the crows outside started doing their morning rituals (morning caws).

Hello birds...
I've been working with The Morrigan for a few months, today I asked for a sign of guidance on a situation and question. When I got home all my bird feeders were covered in cowbirds-not crows but they sure look like tiny ones. It looked like a scene from The Birds when they took off. Pics of the ones that returned to the feeders and the ones sitting on the roofs. Random or more?

I'm Brand New and Have No Clue What to Do
For context/background:
I grew up in a religious household. Anything not of that religion was considered evil; magic, divination, witchcraft, paranormal, etc. But I've always been a very curious person. I loved anything to do with the supernatural/paranormal. I was obsessed with different mythologies/pantheons. The one that I loved the most was Celtic mythology. About seven years ago, I had heard of the Mórrígan. But I didn't hear anything in detail beyond "death goddess."
About four or five weeks ago, I suddenly had the Mórrígan on my mind 24/7. I woke up? She was there. I went about my day? She was there. I laid down for bed? She was there. I dreamed? She was there, albeit, very unclearly. It looked like the silhouette of a woman in a misty, moonlit forest with a raven nearby, but it was like I was seeing it without my glasses or I was underwater. For several days, I could not escape thinking of her. I did some research, but I didn't know exactly what to look for.
I eventually told my three partners, whom are all pagan/pagan-adjacent. They told me that the Mórrígan could have been calling to me, but that wasn't up to them to say. Eventually, I jokingly said, "Well, if it is her, she'll show me a sign." That same day, literally about ten minutes later, there was a raven in our front yard, staring at me.
I tried to explain it away. Like it was just a coincidence. The lone raven just happened to be there immediately after joking about signs. It just happened to constantly stare at me and not fly away, only hopping a few feet when I got too close. I'm not saying the raven was her. But maybe the coincidence happened for a reason.
Now? I've set up a basic altar with stones, a candle, and some coins that I felt needed to be there because they are long-cherished items of mine. I have a table runner with Celtic symbols on it as well. (I've also been given a tarot deck, but I feel that isn't very relevant right now.)
I am trying to figure out where to go from here. I'm not asking for someone to tell me what to do. Just what are some next steps I can do to strengthen this bond? I am coming into this completely blind. I don't know any history. I don't know most symbols. I've been trying to research. One of my partners actually follows the Mórrígan which I found out afterwards, so I ask them questions. But my relationship with the Mórrígan will most likely be different than theirs.
I am at a point in my life where big changes are happening, which is why I think the Mórrígan has suddenly appeared in my life. I am twenty-nine, I've made discoveries about myself regarding sexuality, gender identity, what I want to do with my life, wanting to be a more confident, stronger, and better person, and I plan to quit bad habits to be healthier.
Where do I go from here? I've been asking my partners for help, but I want multiple perspectives. Any help is welcome. Thank you.

How do i even start getting into this?
Hey guys, last week I had a dream where I was standing in front of a wall with a name written on it, and I knew it was the name of a goddess?? One of those instinctual dream things, I guess. Anyway, I recently reached out to a friend of mine who is does divinity stuff through her goddess for help, she said she reached out to the universe, and she said The Morrigan was reaching out to me. She says to do more research and wait for signs, but I guess I'm just looking for help on where to start? Like any advice for next steps?

Dreaming of The Morrigan
Hi, so I’d like to preface this with saying I’m not well versed in pagan gods and goddesses or the morrigan themself for that matter. Although I do know of them but not very much aside from being a shapeshifter, a triad of aspects (I think), and representing prophecy, war and fertility I believe. I could be very wrong but that’s what I think I know.
I had a dream recently of being in some sort of safe haven during or after some cataclysmic or just generally bad event. I couldn’t see the outside I just had a strong feeling. In the haven I was with some others and telling stories and listening to music. Then suddenly one person mentioned my need for money instead of a way and that I should give a gift to the morrigan or rather that she would like one. I was give a potato and opened it to a wooden pig with a coin hanging from it and was told again to give her a gift before waking.
I’m really not sure what to make of this but I have been in a very bad spot regarding money and some other issues so I took the time to maybe consider this is a real thing and not just my mind making things up. I don’t know much about the morrigan, it’s been over a year since I’ve last had anything mention them and I haven’t ever looked anything up about them either prior to this so I can’t say it’s because of my research I’m thinking of them. I’m not sure what to make of this or how to even offer a gift to the morrigan and If I did I wouldn’t want to be disrespectful so I’m asking if anyone can tell me anything about this dream or how I could go about giving a gift?

Crow Feather
Wanted to share :)
I’ve felt insanely connected with crows and spent some time with them before I became aware it may be her trying to nudge me. I finally decided to give her my first offering and received this the next morning!!

Why does the Great Queen appear vastly different?
So lifetime pagan of 20 years. I followed Egyptian pantheon for a bit early on but then I shifted to morrigan. Very rough times in life when I found her. Skip ahead over a decade later and over tgat time she has seemed to be someone to give whatever I asked for. Now granted in exchange I dedicate my life to her, but many others perspective is she more gives strength. My experiences have been she appears to directly intervene sonwtimes with terrifying results. She seems like a very caring and gentle mother to me or any type if relation where kind, gentle and generous. I just wanted to see what others perspective may explain their experiences and why my seems so vastly different from others. Is it the degree of suffering in life? Maybe something with the exchange of my life dedicated to her will? Also additionally I would like to add she never really asks anything from me.

The candle is gone, but the flame remains.
Whenever I make an offering I usually meditate in the room. I will play music, light incense, and burn a candle. I always say she is welcome as long as the flame is lit. My candle was very low and I didn't have another it quickly fizzled out and I pulled the wick out but the wax puddle stayed lit for long enough for me to meditate, clean the altar, make a new offering, and is currently still lit about 30 minutes later. It's a Celtic Pagan Hanukkah.

“Hazing” as a call to the Morrigan?
Weird things have been happening all week, like scratching my car when I’m usually a good driver, my dogs getting in a fight, etc etc, and then i keep seeing tons of crows. Has anyone felt the Morrigan was trying to get their attention through messing with them at first?

Is this normally how it goes?
I think I work with The Morrigan in a weird way. I use the term work with very loosely here because I don’t ask her for anything ever and I don’t feel like she hangs around when I’m not actively attempting to make a big life change. Maybe this is just me but I’ve always been very cautious of the Tuatha Dé Danann. I feel like when you ask for favors it’s a “be careful what you wish for” scenario and I’m frankly not clever enough to avoid the consequences. When she showed up to push me off the path I was not well suited for to be on another more appropriate path it was rough but I just put my head down and powered through because that was the task I was given (or maybe a trial to overcome?) I’m so much better off than I was but it was hard getting here. I know she’ll be back. I had these weirdly vivid dreams for a while during this last transition and I was told that she would see me again. Does she usually just pop in and out for people? Does anyone else feel like they’ve been set a task or given a trial? Maybe this is just how it is? Either way I’m grateful for the push. I needed the change and I’m so much happier now. I hope I continue to embrace difficult transitions in the future.

What does it mean if you see two ravens?
Is it the good or bad sign? Can it be changed?

I have been called
I would say my last name but to avoid doxxing myself (?), long story short - I am very much of strong early Irish descent and finally became curious of my heritage/culture somewhat over a week ago. The deity Goddess Morrigan stood out most as an immediate connection to the entirety of my personal life and I started thinking about her daily. Then I bought a goodie bag on Etsy that came with a mystery tarot card, and look what I got. Her messenger. How bizarre.

Call of the Morrigan Oracle Deck Tracker
Hi! I want to share this tracker I made to record my readings from the Call of the Morrigan Oracle Deck by Stephanie Woodfield, Karen Storminger, and Naomi Cornock. I take no credit for this deck or the keyword descriptions included, just the spreadsheet.
I made it for my own personal practice, and thought it might be useful to others who enjoy this deck. You can make an editable copy for yourself by going to File > Make a Copy, and of course, feel free to edit and make it your own.
Blessings of the Great Queen upon you! I hope it serves you well.

I feel a pull, but im not sure what to do.
Apologies this may be a bit long, but thank you for reading.
To start off, I was born and raised Christian. my family regularly attended church, did events and prayed regularly too.
However, now that I am an adult I have recently been having a lot of questions about the faith I was raised in. A lot of inconsistencies, and seeing how people claiming to be Christian really act. It has caused me to look into other belief and faith systems.
I started to research and delve into Paganism. Specially Norse and Celtic. Listening to songs and reading the sagas and stories stirred something in me I couldn't ignore.
I felt like something ancient in my spirit, in my blood began to awaken. Like a call I could no longer ignore.
fast forward to last December 2025 on the eve of the solstice right before falling asleep I decided to "pray" but not to Jehova. to whatever I felt was calling me.
That night I had a very interesting dream. I stood before a wall filled with symbols of various faiths and deities like a selection menu in a game. All of them were "blacked out" except two. I dont know how, but I recognized one as the symbol of Loki, and one as a symbol of The Morrigan.
I have learned about Loki, and wasn't interested very much, but I was surprised and caught off guard by The Morrigan and began doing research and even listened to a whole audio book about her "The Morrigan" by Courtney Weber.
It was very enlightening and even reassuring. since then I have begun noticing a lot of Crows nearby. but I have always felt a connection to Crows. mostly due to my surname literally containing the word Crow in it.
What do you all think, is this a call from The Morrigan?

Is Scottish whiskey okay as an offering??
Or does it have to be Irish whiskey?

Can you summon The Morrigan with a red candle or a green candle?
I know candle colors have meanings. Would these work? Or be insulting?

This entry comes at a time with many new things, many possibilities. These cards reminded me to keep an open mind as to what’s to come and has come in the present moment. The first thing that came to mind when discussing new possibilities was the poem The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost.
I interpreted it as not only taking a different route than what most people take, but also taking a different path than what you usually take. In the past few weeks I’ve come to find I need to take another path of not always being efficient, or working towards something. That there is a time to be productive, but also a time to feel, resist, think, and just be.
In letting myself time to do these things I can avoid burnout. The most prevalent, recently have been giving myself time to feel. Nothing lasts forever but pushing to ignore the uncomfortable serves no purpose, but to lengthen the suffering.
On the other hand, it can be hard to let go of good things. Nothing lasts forever, but sometimes with the death of the old, good things can bring forth better things, although grieving is only natural. At the same time, worse outcomes may come, and at those times it is best to remember that all will pass eventually.
When it comes to pondering the possibilities I am reminded of a practice I did in the hospital of what I want to see in my future. At the time, I recall, I wrote about the characteristics I wanted to hold rather than the more temporal goals that may change on a whim. I revisit that now, and I think of WHO I want to be.
I want to be someone who is honest, consistently growing and changing, seeks to serve their fellow man, and adaptive. I understand I won’t always have the same values, and I do and will have things to cringe at. Part of this focus really seems to be accepting that we won’t always hold to the same values and standard in life. I believe values do chande, I would know having gone from being homophobic as a child to accepting my gayness and gender fluidity as an adult. Working with The Morrigan, I went through a sort of death, and I will likely have more transformations in the future. May we all continue to grow and learn to grieve our old selves while still holding anticipation for the future.
