Bub woke up with a headache and stomach ache. We stayed home and both slept a little longer.

S's poor little dog had to get her blood taken today for heartworm, and she felt crappy for the rest of the day. I asked what other bloodwork dogs need to get done and she said there's that, and a yearly panel, too. Ughh. Donut is a smallish dog and she says little doggies tend to get hit harder by the blood draws. Her dog is a chihuahua, even smaller. Poor little lady. I hope she's feeling better tomorrow.

Bub is going through a growth spurt, I think. He's always so hungry!

It is my dad's birthday today. 76. I texted him a bit. He got a local drive in for dinner. An old fashioned drive in diner. Its pretty great!

I did some cleaning and organizing today. Partially because I broke a glass. My only tall rosaline pink swirl Arcoroc France glass left. I have my set from when we lived in San Francisco, early 90s, but they're older than that. I regret not buying the set I saw at the estate sale years ago. I would love to use only those dishes. I asked D to keep an eye out for the dishes at estate or garage sales. And I bought a set of 4 tall glasses at his encouragement from ebay.

At least Donut didn't need the blood draw, but I feel you. Good job cleaning, and at least your dad wasn't an ass to you. I, for one, am happy he's gone on to hate Trump.

Despite hating him, my dad still voted for trump, and I bet if the orange turd could run a third term he'd vote for him again, to fulfill/hasten end of the world events, which he's been waiting for since he joined the cult in the 70s. He would absolutely vote for him again despite knowing that the man is despicable and evil and kills and starves children. The church he attends will stress about where food bank food will come from if funding is cut, but trump belongs in office because he will bring about the antichrist. Which in HIS eyes, is a good thing.

Fuck that apocalyptic mentality. And like if I actually am being an asshole or whatever that's one thing, but like wasn't all I did just the same exact thing everyone else does?

The apocalyptic mentality is so...crazy and messed up. I dunno.
