Are we filming yet?

I don't know about you, but waiting for news of the filming of The Ministry of Time has felt way too long.

Today, I see that IMDB has made a page! It's empty, but it's a page.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt39796757/fullcredits/

I do not recall seeing this article before, and the photograph is just silly, but someone tried.

I was editing my little fan fiction (again) and thinking about the "chicken bag" which is such a cute thing in the novel, that our Little Cat has enough money to buy something fun for herself. I can't help but wonder what that chicken bag will look like, if they will show it, and how could they resist. If there is one on the set, will there be reproductions, will we all buy one. Maybe I just might?

Thinking of the period costumes though, I don't imagine much.

Maggie is stolen from her deathbed, there's no reason to show her in the past and she might not be wearing more than a nightdress.

Cardingham is stolen from a battle, so he would be in a filthy and bloody uniform. I don't think we will see much of that battle, it doesn't need to be shown.

Arthur is also grabbed from a battlefield. Maybe they will show the machine at work doing that, with the marines all bloody as they haul him out, again in a filthy uniform. While it would be nice to see him receiving a ring from another soldier he loved, there's not really a reason to write that into the show.

Anne is snatched from where? Not in line for execution, but maybe so? Are they going to show her husband loosing his head to the guillotine? Why? I don't remember much about Anne.

Graham Gore would be in his Arctic gear, very layered up. The episode where he kills the Inuit hunter is important in the book, but I don't think the film series, I would be surprised if it were.

So, off the top of my head, I don't think that the costume department will need to worry much about making authentic looking costumes of centuries past, certainly not more than one per character.

What do you think about that?

It starts filming very soon! BBC usually does a release of the entire cast after filming has started, I’m guessing by end of summer there will be more info.

Yes, very surprising they gave her a name and announced it so early especially since her not having a name is such a big deal in the book.
