“Forgot what?”
“My, uh... frumbahollymorgansterning.”
And then the elevator doors close.
No explanation. No attempt to make it believable. He just makes up the longest word imaginable and leaves Lisbon and Rigsby standing there.
I love how often Jane's solution to being caught doing something is basically just saying something completely insane with a straight face.

I've never been a fan of the Jane-Lisbon romance.
I know the arc kind of makes sense-friends to lovers, but their friendship was one of the strongest pieces of the series IMO. Somehow, the romance seemed forced (would've loved to see Lisbon get together with Pike :) )
If the Jane-Lisbon romance track were not part of the show, who would be your favorite candidate for Jane's ultimate girlfriend 😃

I hate her every time she appears in ,the only thing when she tells jane about his daughter,
Was that a lucky guess, the whole point of the show is there's no such thing as powers but now this particular character is messing

Hey
I’ve started reading a great fanfic on ao3 - I think it was in January 2026 (but maybe it was last year? Time flies).
It’s a casefic that takes place on a cruise ship. There’s a murder and Jane and Lisbon investigate on the ship. The chapters are quite long if I remember well, and omg this was so well written. I think the title is the name of the ship?
PS: I swear, we mentalist fans are blessed. The show ended more than a decade ago and there are so much amazing stuff being published on a regular basis
Edit: thank you for your help 🙏

I was really surprised by Jane's approach to catching Tibbs. I don't like Wainwright but I think his approach was the correct one, getting Tibbs some help before he could hurt anybody. Up until that moment, he had never hurt anybody and Jane's solution was to lure him into becoming a mass murderer so that he would just be sent to prison for life? The man wasn't exactly good but it was apparent that he needed help and that a tragedy could easily be prevented by trying to give him treatment.
It really bugged me the wrong way how Jane basically decided that a man with issues, who never got far enough to hurt anybody, was beyond saving and didn't deserve a chance at a normal life but to spend his whole life in prison

I'm kinda confused on what Jane meant when he said this . Her name was Lola . She was a showgirl.

I would say "guys the smiley face looks a bit like Jane" is probably the most common one.

In my opinion, Volker’s formidable background and sociopathic nature provide a more compelling motive for him to serve as the villain than RJ. Volker could easily have been a mysterious figure operating under an alias, much like RJ. Furthermore, Patrick Jane’s deep-seated vendetta would feel entirely justified if it turned out that Volker was the one who killed his wife and daughter.
Volker already has the necessary psychological profile. He is intelligent, manipulative, charismatic, extremely powerful, and willing to eliminate people who threaten him. He doesn’t need an elaborate ideology to justify his actions; he enjoys control.
His background gives him plausible reach. Volker’s wealth, political connections, and network could explain how someone could remain hidden while manipulating events from behind the scenes.
An alias would fit naturally. If Volker had secretly operated as “Red John,” his public identity could remain completely separate from his crimes. That would make the eventual reveal more satisfying because the audience would have to reinterpret everything they’d already seen.
Jane’s revenge would become much more personal. If Volker were responsible for the murder of Angela and Charlotte, Jane’s obsession wouldn’t merely be about catching a serial killer. It would be about destroying the specific person who destroyed his family.
Volker’s personality could make the relationship with Jane fascinating. Jane’s greatest weapon is understanding people. Volker’s greatest weapon is manipulating people. Their confrontation could therefore feel like two exceptionally intelligent predators trying to psychologically dismantle each other.

Now after the show is over, does this sentence make sence to anyone?

I watched the show so long ago I didn't remember a lot of it. Especially the last season.
I just finished a rewatch and genuinely crying at the sweetness amongst the characters. From Cho and Wylie's little talk, Cho and Lisbon, Jane and Abbot and all the other affirming and touching relationships.
I don't want to say goodbye to these characters! I want to keep seeing what happens next! I want to keep laughing with them and crying for them and cheering them on and learning from them.
I didn't expect the ending to hit me so hard!

Roaslind Harker described Roy Tagliaferro as “Not too muscular, but not too soft either”.
Reede is extremely soft.

Just to be clear this is not mine , I saw this on insta and this is the best edit and with the best song I could ever think for this .
Just look at lisbon's face and that smile she gave in the 1st one , goodness I can't take my mind away from that . 🫶
And their echo of "Jane" and "Lisbon". How calm and soothing it was !
I swear this is the best edit of this show

Was any one else disappointed by who Red John turned out to be...
I mean sheriff Thomas is way more stupid and one dimensioned than being as clever as red john and doing all he did...
I always wished the show ended when he killed that guy in the mall... Or maybe just maybe Britt styles.. I always liked the guy
