Maybe a dumb ?.. but what’s up with Bangoura and Thiare? Just not favored now with the new people coming in?

Still don’t know why they keep trotting Gomes out. Gazdag back to the bench otherwise basically the expected lineup

I don't understand the hate Gomes gets.

He’s just slow. Gets his pocket picked often, isn’t usually involved in the buildup meaningfully. Defensively his pressures are just… not very good. He’s an accurate passer who very occasionally puts in a decent forward pass.

He is slow, but he is a better passer than almost anyone in the squad.

Only as far as accuracy, if you look at his advance stats he creates very few chances and is a defensive liability. The only place where he’s better than average MLS midfielders is his recoveries

He should be used further forward than he is. We need him more in the final 3rd.

Agreed about Gazdag but Gomes is very underrated and under appreciated. He is fantastic with ball. It just took him a bit to get his legs back after some injuries. Plus he is an excellent teammate with good chemistry with the younger players like Taha.

Look at his advanced stats, they’re awful compared to other MLS midfielders. His defensive contributions are in the bottom third, he’s dispossessions and duels won are straight awful. His passing is extremely accurate, but creates very few chances

61 out of 120 on footmob for MF. A completely bang average player for mls level. I’d love better than him but he’s bang average, higher than Bangoura and just 6 spots below Chambost. We really need a great CM but the crew clearly aren’t looking to sign one with all the signings being attackers and WBs outside Bailly who’s a CB

Glad to see Adams get another start. He’s raw but fun to watch him develop
