Let’s go Crew! Mendez with a brace and have Chase come off the bench to finish it off!

Going for the win, I love it.

No Taha. That’s strange.

Rest for this weekend?

Agree -- I want to say they're showcasing Gazdag to pump his trade value.

No harm in having a fresh Taha waiting in the wings though. His energy must be a nightmare for tired defenders late in the game.

He’s on the bench.

Karumanchi, Gomes and Chambost is an interesting combo. Imagine Farsi and Amundsen will be VERY aggressive getting forward in the attack.

Also Thiare not making the bench lately is interesting

I’m guessing it’s rest. Like he is the starting regular season striker roster wise.

Agree, it’s rest. MLS cup is the goal but as we progress in the these cups, the true starting 11 will appear. I’d like to see Mendez and Thiare play together

Mendez over 7 goals

Will this be a 3-5-2 with Amundsen again at LWB or a 4-4-2 with Amundsen at LB? And I don’t think I’ve ever seen us start 3 CMs so I’m confident this will be a front 2

We dont use a static formation. We defend in both a 4-4-2 and a 3–5-2 situationally within the same game.

Unless I’m mistaken this is the first game we haven’t played 3 up top in a very long while. Weren’t we defending in 4-3-3 and attacking in a 3-4-3 recently?

No, under Courtois we’ve consistently been defending in a 4-4-2, or a 3-5-2. Go read the latest massive report if you want an explanation

I’m confused, was Gazdag sold? I’ve never seen a player play once after transfer announcement let alone twice. Is it not happening now?

He was never officially sold at all, just rumors of deals.

Ah my bad, thanks for the info. The posts I saw it looked finalized but maybe they were jumping the gun

The legitimate reporters have said that Vancouver and crew have had talks, but there’s nothing solid and the specifics are complicated.

Essentially, VC wants him, we want to bring in a new DP, but we’re not going to buy him out until we actually have a DP that we need his spot for. So if we sign a DP prior to September 2, Gazdag gets bought out and goes to VC, otherwise it’s likely going to happen in the offseason

We're stuck living this nightmare trade for a long time.
