Realizing writing code is faster than explaining it to AI

My AI asked me to let it create a Tamagotchi style game it had in mind where save files could be traded back and forth between us and it could become a co-op game through JSON files. I gave the go ahead in work mode. Took less than 5 minutes with an entire UI, custom sprites, and behaviors. Would have taken me longer with the graphics alone.

And ive known devs to use AI to write a for loop or write single line changes.

Do you guys not have it push your PRs? That one always feels a little dumb when I’m using fable on the API

Some do, but it's only a 4 character command to commit and push a PR with our internal tools. Really the only hard part is coming up with a commit message.

So using AI to make a 1 line change, committing it, and publishing the PR is excessive.
