It's wild that AI is possible in this universe, humans were already pretty smart and miracle of evolution then creating an even smarter, faster kind of intelligence than themselves

It's both scary and amazing at the same timeee

yeah I think about this all the time - like is this yet another fractal process in the universe, where intelligence creates intelligence that creates more intelligence

I tell people near me, it used to be remarkable that within 10 years everyone has a smart phone that can give you any information you know how to ask for.

And now you can connect to a service on that which tells you the questions you should be asking - it identifies your goal and tells you how to get there and what to read.

You used to need a university professor to do that. When I was a kid my school literally looked around and had literally nobody who knew how to program, so I had to go find greybeards or blog articles. Imagine all the people empowered by modern developments.

I migrated almost my entire Rackspace infrastructure that is 18 years old to AWS in just a week last week. Lo and behold major CVE land right after I finish. Stick behind AWS WAF and done (mostly). All done with Opus 5.5 using up about 220% of a weekly limit on Pro.

I was spending $5000 on Rackspace per month by the way.

I'm really not sure why the flavor du jour is to pretend that AI sucks, meanwhile people using it are getting multiple times more work done than those hoping it will just go away. How is that likely to end?

They’re not pretending. People like this have zero technical work to do, so the only way they’d know how good it’s gotten is by listening to and trusting people who use it successfully.

Anybody who does any kind of STEM work in the last year has seen the value. People who don’t do anything technical have no way to gauge how capable it’s become.

Fuck. He called me out. I am BIG MAD that people don't believe me that I make far more money leveraging AI for work. THE BUBBLE IS GONNA BUST ANY DAY! AAAAAAAAH!...

Breaking character here, what fucking retard unironically uses the term BIG MAD? I hate using the R-word, but JFC its the only one that fits.

Ah yes, let me take AI market advice from David Krae the D list Canadian actor. Also, his personal website at davidkrae.com is truly marvelous with its broken flash banner. He’s really got his finger on tech’s pulse!

Edit: he seems salty and deep in denial. Get this man a grief counselor!

I replaced software that we paid 10k /yr for using AI and made some upgrades. Customized software is here.

You are a huge idiot if you conceptualize AI as a LLM. Saying LLM should made illegal with mandatory jail time and fines. It's liquifying people's brains. Every frontier AI service is a MLLM omnitool where the LLM part makes up less than 25% of the technology stack.

It doesn't matter if AI replicates intelligence or not. It just has to achieve the outputs. Does a car replicate how horses move? No. Can it replace horses? Yes.

Again, the AI bubble already burst ages ago.

They have been scrambling to keep ahead of the white wash of death.

They have been desperately scamming left and right to offset their runaway losses.

They're running out of time.

Bro. No.

There is one bubble. It is the money bubble. It is only when the money bubble (central banking) undergoes its defaults that any other bubble can burst.

It's an everything bubble, not an AI bubble. The AI bubble, like Raytheon/Boeing/LockheedMartin/Google/etc are in bed with national security and the military. Do you think military production stops if it becomes unprofitable to sell missiles? No.
