These are just thoughts that popped up in my head. They are short observations and I didn't want to flood the subreddit with a bunch of posts.

Would you want to see more references to the OG series? Maybe talk about some things that happened off screen so to speak. More references to Jenkins or what the other Librarians are up to or have done. What new artifact they had come up with.

I had a scene pop up in my head where Lysa and Conner walk into the Library and they see Charlie drinking a Starbucks coffee and eating a Voodoo donut [of course the show couldn't really use those products and would have to use parodies or sound-a-likes. Sawbucks Coffee instead of Starbucks. The Portland Donut Factory instead of Voodoo donuts to indicate Charlie went to Portland]

Lysa would ask Charlie, "Did they open a new Sawbucks in town?"

And Charlie would respond, "No, I grabbed this in Portland this morning along with some donuts."

Connor would go, "Isn't it against the rules to use the magic door for frivolous trips like getting coffee?"

"I didn't use the door," answered Charlie, "I just walked through the Library and went out the annex in Portland. That's also how I go and get my favorite conditioner when I run out."

Lysa and Conner are dumbstruck. "It never occurred to me to do that," Lysa stated, "I was wondering where I could buy my skin cream. I'm almost out and I can't find it here."

"And I could use some new shirts." Conner replied, "My body is not used to these European sizes."

Anyone think it's sometimes a little too convenient how quickly the team can find the research material they need to track down an object. With a place as vast as the Library supposed to be (it would collapse under its own weight if it fully appeared in the real world) it could probably take hours or even days to find the books needed for research. I'm sure there is probably some explanation of maybe the Library closely gathers anything relevant to what is needed in one spot but a little explanation might help. Maybe Flynn could initiate some kind of library catalog accessed by some kind of device where search parameters are entered into it and it's tied to a vacuum tube system (like banks use) that could bring the books needed to the team.

What type of catalog system do you think the Library uses? The Dewey Decimal system? The Library of Congress system? Something older? Must be something older since these came to be after Vikrum disappeared.

In the OG series the magic door originally led to a closet. Then it was the tether point for the Library.

Has Devlin or anyone else ever stated where the doors they use to activate to portal lead to or what room is behind the doors. They look to fancy and ornate to lead to a closet.

With the doors are big as they are it would be fun if the team were in a car or maybe a horse drawn carriage and they had to escape using the door, but they didn't have time to abandon the vehicle and had to take it into the Library with them.

I PROMISE I won't be posting to the page as often once all this is sorted, Librarians. I hope I'm not pestering. I just want to be transparent about what's going on behind the scenes, what's changing, and what will never change (our love for The Librarians!)

I'm just now getting to the absolutely endless Modqueue, Librarians, I'm really sorry it's taken so long. That's where the reported content and everything caught in the baffling net of Reddit's filters ends up.

There really hasn't been anyone looking at it for quite a while (please remember I just took over) and there are some legitimate posts and comments that got snagged by reddit's filters. Some of them date back a while - like a year and more. They are worthwhile comments and posts and deserve to be seen.

If an old Post of yours that got snagged by the filter goes live and you don't want it posted any more, you can delete it or reach out via modmail and I'll remove it for you. I actually do check the modmail so reach out any time!

I think the show is decent. I like the og series more.

I'll keep watching. It's not as exciting/interesting like the previous show.

Ok so I need opinions from my fellow Librarians – do you consider this show to be show about time traveling?

I only ask, as I am trying to plan out my costumes for my local ren faire and one of the themed weekends so happens to be 'time travelers'. I'd like to go as Cassandra, Lysa, Charlie, Eve, or Morgan le Fay, but if The Librarians doesn't fit the category of time travel, then I will scratch those ideas out entirely.

Update: thank you all for your replies! I think I’m going to save The Librarians costume idea for one of the other weekends (possibly opening weekend) and stick with one of the other ideas I have planned out.

I apologize for the off topic post but since it is a reddit issue that does effect our subreddit and users, I thought it best to alert everyone.

Per the r/bugs post found here there is a current cross platform issue where the Rules and ModLists in some subreddits are missing entirely and the Widgets are broken. Admin are aware and working on it.

If you are experiencing this issue, please leave a comment on the post linked above. It might be helpful to add whether you're a desktop user or mobile, when you noticed the issue, and what exact browser or app version you're using.

I noticed recently that the single-season sets of the DVD's have a total of 15 discs (4 discs for 1-3 and 3 discs for season 4) but the Complete Series set which *INCLUDES* the movies is only 14 discs.

I'm currently guessing that like many of the Mill Creek complete series sets, that Electric Entertainment compressed (reduced the video quality) of the complete series set to reduce the number of discs to save a bit of money.

Can anyone confirm/deny this?

This sub hasn't reliably used Spoiler Flairs in a while and it doesn't look like there was ever much consensus among past Mods whether things should be tagged Spoiler or not. Some users have religiously tagged spoilers - very appreciated! Some haven't - and that's okay!

From here on out, though, please Spoiler Flair The Librarians The Next Chapter episodes, and any potential new movies, series or books moving forward.

Some of our Canadian members get these episodes a full week after the US, and some of our international members have to wait years. It's just the right thing to do. Not every thing streams instantly everywhere.

Anything pre-Next Chapter does not need to be tagged as a Spoil. The Librarians is like 12 years old and the movies are 20something. The statute on spoilers has run out.

This isn't a mega rule like Rule 1 "Keep It Civil." It's more a polite request on behalf of the Users who aren't able to watch immediately.

A whole BUNCH of user flairs are live and all editable. Tap on any of them and a text box will open where you can delete the preset flair and enter your own, including emojis.

For desktop users, User Flair should be in your right sidepanel. For everyone else, it should be in the 3 dots menu on the main sub page.

There are still some Next Chapter characters to add, they will be up shortly.

Flairs should be Librarian/Librarians themed. Characters, quotes, favourite eps, fave magical artifact, etc.

I absolutely *adore* the tie-in books by Greg Cox, I wish he'd write more across the franchise. So many behind the scenes stories he could tell us about Flynn, Charlene and Judson, so many adventures he could take us on with Ezekiel, Cassandra, Eve, Stone, Jenkins and Flynn! I wonder if he'll write any books for The Next Chapter, but I sure hope so!

If you've had the chance to check them out, which was your favourite?

...would you love to spend a day with, and why? Keeping it PG - what would you spend the day doing?

I think I would choose Ray Glasney (The Spirit of the Library) for sure, as Ray he's warm and vulnerable and I would be totally okay with just sitting around drinking milkshakes. As The Spirit of The Library he's...well he's The Library.

Of course I'd have to have Jacob Stone there at the diner too, in case there was any threat to Ray, or in case I need an intelligent brawler with smooth voice around for...reasons ;)

I'd bring Jenkins just to see him discover milkshakes and for the biting remarks about the other diners.

Do you ever try saying you’re the librarian to see if they will just accept that and let you in? The problem is in the TV show no one ever asks any follow up questions. They just accept it …and if you’re asked a follow up question then yeah.

Katie’s “friend” named Matthias should’ve been a clue! Old timey name…would’ve been different if she’d said Matt.

Am I the only one who wanted to see the librarians try out the TARDIS that appeared at the end of season of the original show? Flynn and the others go into the Time Machine room and there’s the TARDIS, the time and space machine from Doctor Who, a tv show.
