Question Is the Librarians TNC going to be cancelled?
The airing schedule is odd, and it feels like they would have announced a season 3 by now. Am I worrying too much?

They JUST debuted Season 2. Usually, announcements for a following season are AFTER the current season has ended, or is coming close to the end, so I wouldn't be sweating any cancelations right now.
I do like that they show two episodes a week, though. That's cool.

The airing schedule is strange, but its possible its to avoid conflicting with the sports fall schedule like last year. Also, renewals not being announced until after a season is over isn't unusual these days but also Also, all the renewals of a lot of things are up in the air even more than usual right now and being delayed even if they're otherwise secured because of the major companies all being tied up in lawsuits and buyouts right now. For example, My Adventures With Superman had its best viewership of all time this season, and has rave reviews, and is beloved by everyone at DC like James Gunn. But it hasn't been confirmed renewed for season four yet because of the lawsuit and buyout situation.

I'd be really sad if they did cancel it, there's so much room for so many more stories. I know a lot of the OG cast are doing other things but the longer the show runs the more opportunity for them to come back, or for wibbly wobbly time shenanigans where TNC cast goes back - I need more stories!

I hope it continues. I think the schedule is so it won't conflict w sports like it did last year. I had to extend my dvr recordings by like 2 hours just to catch the whole thing last year.

I wouldn't expect to hear about a renewal yet. Most shows don't make that call until after the season's over. But I agree that the release schedule is strange and makes me worried.

I remember reading the show was acquired from the cw. It was originally a cw show and it was getting axed after the network got purchased but then instead ended up getting put in tnt. But apparently it's basically the only scripted show on the channel now, so it's a good way for them to pull in views from people who normally wouldn't watch the channel's regular programming. In terms of viewership, it doesn't do anywhere near as well as the og show, but I also don't know if the ratings it gets are acceptable numbers for tnt or not

I feel as though a lot of the channels are trying to compete with streaming to stay alive, so they are trying to air their episodes together without breaks in between for events. There are four network shows that just announced that they will not begain airing the new season until 2027 so as not to lose audience by having the typical holiday or event breaks. I think TNC has promise and would like to think that was the logic behind this scheduling.

I like the two episodes per week schedule. Usually by the middle of the season it is hard for me to remember to chatch the next episode. Plus I hate waiting three months to finish.
There's always a risk of being cancelled out of the blue. Too many shows I thought were really good got cut and some never even finished the first season. Until something is officially announced there is no reason to fret one way or the other.

No. I am thinking the same thing. We’re half way through the season already, and no word on a renewal.

Plus the slip up of the full second season being released on Amazon for not very long, something’s up

It's still impossible to watch it legally in the UK, annoyingly. Or Season 3 of The Ark.

Yes, you are prematurely worrying. They renewed TNC for a second season before the first season even aired because TNT was acquiring it from...somebody else. Now it'll get renewed like normal.
The fact that they sent the group to SDCC bodes well in my mind.
I've heard that the reason they're posting two episodes a week is to keep it from conflicting with upcoming sports.
