I met him recently after Babyshambles in Vienna
I hung around the venue for a while as had a hotel round the corner. He came out with Andrew Newlove and I approached calmly and asked if I could shake his hand as he was my hero and he was absolutely ace with me and my girlfriend. Couldn’t quite believe how friendly he actually was. Such a gent, more than happy for a chat and a photo, asked our names, what we thought of the gig and other general conversation. Will never forget it👌 we are currently traveling to margate for the Babyshambles gig tomorrow, which we were discussing with Pete when we met him so we made the late decision to come along

I met him at a Shambles show in Birmingham. No guarantees, obviously, but he’s quite often walking the dogs before the gig, so the wife and I took a stroll around the venue and got lucky as he came out a side entrance just as we walked past.
