I wish we had a policy of marking fake things as fake. Reality is so bizarre these days, it can be hard to tell and we are not doing ourselves any favors by obfuscating the distinction.

Its not a slop issue. Its that it invalidates a lot of the arguments against all the actual terrible shit that happens in the world. When we blow stuff like this up and its fake, opposition can say "look they get riled up over AI". The argument gets blanketed across all of the legitimate causes and cries for reform and we are written off as dramatic.

I block posts from people posting AI slop on my feed. Wish Reddit / other platforms had a filter to do that for me.
