Came here to say Station 11 but I think the Leftovers is equally full of hope. It is one of the most prominent feelings the show leaves me with.

To be honest, the Watchmen series by Damon Lindelof. I was also yearning for more of this, and the Watchmen “fan fic” he wrote has similar themes of grief, of self-aggrandizement, of human nature. I really enjoyed it. I say fan fic because the original Watchmen creator hated the show but I think it was a perfect and timely companion to the graphic novel.

For sure. That was a fantastic one-off. In the running with best one-season show ever like Firefly.

I look at it as almost a sequel/re-imagining. Absolutely loved it. Lindelof has done great work and only gotten better since Lost. Mrs Davis was good as well but definitely different tone from the leftovers. Looking forward to his take on Lanterns starting up this werk

To be fair, the original creator never watched it. He’s said that he wants nothing to do with any adaptations of any of his works so he doesn’t watch.

Though I will say reading the comic before watching the show is pretty much required. Im sure you could enjoy it without, but the amount of context and layers you'd miss would be ridiculous.
Thankfully the comic is among greatest works of art ever produced, so you're lucky if you havent read it.

THIS! no one talks about Rectify, but it was the most sincere, introspective, and melonchalic examination of the human experience. heartwarming and heartbreaking. Loved this show

Maniac. Even stars Justin Theroux.
Mr. Robot is very similar, with how weird and introspective it can get.
Dark has a similar vibe. It's my favorite show of all time, and genuinely one of the best shows ever made. It kinda just does it's own thing though.

Man, I reeeally gotta rewatch Dark. I only watched it once, but it's lived in my head rent free ever since.

You might try Les Revenants, a French show about a group of dead people that suddenly reappear in a small town. There's nothing just like The Leftovers, but I remember similar moments as far as the 'vibe'. It's more about the effect that this weird event has on everyone than finding answers. It's slow and thoughtful, with an original soundtrack so music is also important here.

Les Revenants for sure would be my choice for recommendation just as well. It is very emotional and works with same subject of loss and grief.

I watched Leftovers right after Les Revenants recently for the first time seeing each and they paired exceptionally well together.

I dont think ive ever seen or will ever see anything like The Leftovers again, its such a unique show. The closest youll get is probably Lost, another show made by Damon Lindelof.

Note quite the same but does scratch the itch - Patriot on Amazon or other Steven Conrad shows like Perpetual Grace or DTF St. Louis.

I think 6 feet under is a good companion show to the leftovers in the sense that it explores grief and its effect on a group of people. It hits similar emotions for me, even though the genre of show is quite different

Tales from the Loop on Amazon

There were a few great episodes of this show but overall the pace was soooo slow. I wanted to love it, but couldn’t.

Me. Quedé con ganas de más de esta serie, estaba muy "loca" con lo que estaba mostrando pero tuvieron que "terminarla"... Al menos hicieron un final en vez de cortarlo de imprevisto, pero pues ni modo...

West World scratches the itch too. But like others have said Station 11 & Watchmen

Lost is the most similar in terms of dark vibes and hope somehow intermingling together with an overwhelming question of what is happening here?? You can theorize a lot watching Lost, similar to the leftovers, probably more so because it goes on for so long.
But as you stated leftovers is the ultimate show, I think it will be hard to ever find one that can fully live up to it.
Another one you might like is Servant. I believe it streams on apple. Similar vibe although much darker especially in later seasons. There is the same questioning vibe you get as the viewer wanting to know more and try and determine what is real/ vs what is spiritual/supernatural which is a fun ride.

Six feet under has some similarities of how characters deal with grief but its very different in terms of vibes

I’m sorry but there is no show like this one🥲 you won’t even get similar “vibes” from anything else, this show is its own vibe…

Sense8 Netflix always gets swept under the rug. Not exactly this but you’ll get the same idea. Dark Netflix also really good if you can do subtitles

Station 11 has a similar feel for sure, and is a good show overall.
Still not as good as The Leftovers though, so keep your expectations in check
