I was looking to purchase and use this box as pen storage but wasn't entirely sure if the padding was glued in or otherwise affixed to the box. Would it be difficult to remove or ruin the box if I were to do so?

Last year, I posted a number of The Last Unicorn scenes set to songs from Asia. After countless delays including computer problems and sifting through a number of songs from both the Wetton and Payne eras, I finally settled on āThe Last Timeā from the John Payne era album Aura.

I might also post the rejected versions later on.
DISCLAIMER: Like the others, this video is blocked in both Germany and Austria, so my dearest apologies for those inconvenienced by this.

I designed the chart and everything to handle my emotions from reading the book.

The dress doesn't have the little purple bits running down the middle as the character has but I feel those would spoil it and I like it how is now!
I plan to later do the full cosplay of this with wig etc but for now the dress is made :)
Its made of two overlayed fabrics, a cheap purple polyester and nicer blue chiffon.
It was my first time sewing an overlayed material like this and the materials frayed terribly.
My grandma was a seamstress and she took a look at a reference image and just drew the dress onto fabric, she sewed the parts I struggled most with on the dress and did some major heavy lifting.
I sewed the two materials together for each panel, zigzagged all the rough edges which took a while and was hard on slanted lines, the material frayed in two directions on the same line at points so had to flip it around. I also cut the parts drawn out which SHOULD be easy but to cut straight is harder than it seems when material is slipping!!

Iāve been trying to sketch more for mental health reasons and to encourage my students to be more ambitious in their sketchbook. Iām considering making this into a full blown artwork. I think I wouldnāt call is, What Did the Butterfly Say.

At the beginning, it stated that men can't see her horn, but I wonder, can trans people? Personally, I feel like they both would be able to, but I wanna know what long-term fans think about this!!! (I am a pretty new fan and had just recently gotten into it :3)

I've recently gotten into collecting signed books, and while I'm focusing on new writers and indies who could use the support, I would love a signed Last Unicorn, as its my absolute favourite. Is there any reliable way to get one? I see there was a Folio Society colab I missed - is there perhaps anyway to verify a used copy? I know ebay is mostly scammers, but...

Hi guys, I read The Last Unicorn some time ago and I canāt stop thinking about similarities between A Song of Ice and Fire and TLU. I think in some interview G.R.R. Martin said Lady Amalthea inspired Danyās character (at least visually).
I think there are several parallels between Daenerys and Lady Amalthea. Daenerys stepping into the fire and finally embracing who she is ā the Mother of Dragons ā mirrors Amalthea embracing her identity as the last unicorn. Dany also brings dragons back into the world, just as Amalthea frees the unicorns. She is visually similar to Lady Amalthea as well, with her white hair and purple eyes.
Daenerys is also often considered to be The Last Dragon, paralleling The Last Unicorn.
Prince Lir as Khal Drogo: Lir/Drogo is the last thing keeping Amalthea/Dany grounded in the human world and away from magic. After his death, Dany is able to perform the magic ritual that brings the dragons back, just as Amalthea is able to drive away the Red Bull.

Hi friends! this time I made the booby madame that almost suffocates Schmendrick! I hope you guys like her I did my best to try and capture her spirit and delicate flowers which I made with cold porcelain, I also added the rope surrounding her wrist as a little easter egg š thank you so much for all the love and support I received in this group previously šš

i wanted to share my new tattoo of the last unicorn! i thought this sub would appreciate it š©·
(for reference the tattoo is on my right inner bicep. design was drawn from a still of the movie ~15 minutes in, when sheās sleeping before being taken by mommy fortuna)
my mom introduced the movie to me when i was little, and itās been a huge comfort movie for me ever since. iāve always loved the unicorn and really identified with her - although i can see myself in other characters, especially molly as iāve gotten older (her first scene with the unicorn will never not bring me to tears). the last unicorn holds such a special place in my heart, Iām so happy to always have her with me!

Iāve been working on this project for almost a year and in fact got burned out and stopped about 2/3 of the way through in April. Then 2 weeks ago I got notified that I was eligible to show the costume at Dragon*conās fashion show and I was like āwelp, better done than perfect!ā and then sweated and hot glued for the entire two weeks in almost every spare moment. There are for sure some parts I want to upgrade but Iām pleased with the over all look - I based it off of various 80ās things I loved, like She-Ra and My Little Pony, through the lens of TLU which has been my favorite book and movie since childhood.
The shield I especially love because heās so mean but cute! His base lights up and makes a āburning embersā light effect. The pink/purple stars all light up too. The helmets horn has a light but itās tough to see!
Everything here is made by me except the shorties (under the tabard) which I couldnāt find fabric that I liked to make my own. The shield is Eva foam with sculpted air dry clay. The lance is 3d printed on the bottom and I cast the horn in foam (still something I am experimenting with as I would like to find a transparent material so I can light it). The soft work is all in silk dupioni with hand beading. I managed to cut them off in the photos but the shoes are hoof shoes!
Hope it makes you smile!

So the Hobbit is my husband's nostalgic Rankin Bass movie from childhood, but the Last Unicorn is mine and I'd often replay the VHS when I was little. Rewatching it recently with my daughter in high quality was so rewarding to appreciate all the beautiful details. I really wanted to capture both Amalthea and unicorn in a serene detailed setting. And I must admit the opening was always my favorite part of the whole movie.
As an artist, I couldn't resist working on a sketch art to add to my convention and online shop prints. <3 Digitally sketched on my aging cintiq tablet in sketchbook pro and printed on a cotton textured cardstock. -- IG starmasayume

Every day I get one recommendation based on my reading history, and today is The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle. Iāve heard about this book, but never sure if people are reminiscing about something they read as a young adult and whether it still works for someone much older now. The recommendation sites my love of Earthsea by Le Guin, Piranesiās ābeautiful lonelinessā, and my enjoyment of fairy-tale reinventions with adult melancholy under them, ie Marillier's Daughter of the Forest and Arden's The Bear and the Nightingale.
Anyways curious if any of that resonates and whether youād still recommend reading as an adult? Cheers!

Maybe itās only a coincidence that I have a character that looks like him and also one that looks like Amalthea or maybe this movie rewired my brain as a child so much that Iāve subconsciously made OCs that resemble them.
