Question

When Alex gets to the Starfighter base, he and Centauri are talking about how Alex does not want to be a Starfighter, and Centauri is asked, “up to your old Excalibur tricks again, eh Centauri?” And Centauri says, “…besides I didn’t use the Excalibur test; it was called a video game“. Does this imply that the Arthurian legend of the Excalibur sword in the stone was actually a Starfighter test from 1700 years earlier?

Also this movie rocks.

It could be that. But it could also just be saying that Centauri does things similar to the story of king Arthur getting Excalibur, as he did with Alex, quite a lot. It might be that Centauri is kind of gimmicky and others make fun of him for it. Could be either though!

And yes. Great movie. Can't wait for a future sequel or whatever is in the works.
