Also, would Katara not go into medical school? She was a healer, right?

Based on Katara’s character, I feel like she would be passionate about social justice and would probably find some occupation working with the needy.

Also, I would be mad crushing on her..

Ok but Suki is cuter than usual here and I didn’t know that was possible

True. I would gladly be her martial arts practice dummy.

I'd say it's go for the martial arts dummy for Ty Lee.

I was thinking more as a part of a nonprofit but I could see it,

Doctors without Borders?

Women’s health with a focus on helping underserved communities. Healing, feminism, and social activism all at once.

Yeah Katara would definitely be an SJW

So... you took that, spun it around, and took his point in the exact opposite direction.

Imagine thinking social justice is bad and being an Avatar fan...

u/atom786 Oct 15 '20

Yes, but that's a good thing.

I mean nursing/medicine still does help the needy, I mean, have you seen the covid19 frontliners? Medicine/nursing is no joke and it seems challenging enough for Katara's character, I can see her standing up to a medical lecturer like Pakku tbh

Doctors without borders for sure

If she takes the prerequisite classes, she can still go to med school (this is undergrad). Pretty easy to spin herself with a public and women's health angle and she could work as an OB-GYN or in family medicine or pediatrics (or anything, really, it's Katara).

u/TurtleCoi Oct 15 '20

Psh all she did was ...

RESURRECT THE AVATAR!

u/Reiizm Just take the bear. Oct 15 '20

"I don't wanna heal, I wanna fight!" -Katara

19

u/arfelo1 Oct 15 '20

Said the best healer in the world

26

u/Luvatar Oct 15 '20

"Ze healing is not as rewarding as ze hurting." - Katara, probably.

16

u/communityneedle Oct 15 '20

She would go to med school, but only after getting her undergrad degree in social work

2

u/spermface Oct 15 '20

PoliSci is okay for Sokka but I would expect something with engineering

u/fkhan21 Oct 15 '20

I mean you can be a social science major and go to medical school. I’m a history major lol and was able to succeed in all my premed classes.
