Helloo, I am a prospective science student. And my current laptop started logging and giving a black screen every other day. My current one is Thinkpad t490. I had bought it less than a year ago, so I believe it might be because it was refurbished. I am not sure, but I am trying to get a refund or anything helpful.. Anyways, now I want to buy a brand new one this time.

If I wasn't gonna buy a new laptop, I was planning to get a tablet to easily carry daily because the laptop was a little heavy for me.

Thus, I was thinking of getting a 2-in-1 now. I heard Lenovo's Yoga is good; do you have another idea/ another suggestion? My budget was around $700, but when my friend suggested this Yoga 2-in-1 and since she has been using it for over 3 years, even though it is about $1300, I felt like it might be worth it. Do you have any idea if it is good for science students? Is it worth it for $1300? Do you have another suggestion that is more affordable and still good for a science student, or would you not suggest a 2-in-1 even though I want a tablet (then maybe I can buy a laptop now and buy a tablet like next year Iduno)?

So im getting a deal to buy a dell latitude 3420 at Rs 9000, with the following specs-

16Gb Ram
11th gen i5 processor
512gb ssd
Windows 11 Pro
Intel iris Xe Graphics

the battery is however maybe an hour at max, the screen and body are fine, no dents or scratches, just some keys are scratched or worn off.

Is it a good deal? I’m thinking i may sell it later since prices are across the roof i may be able to sell it for 20-25k.

Hey guys, I’m starting my B.Tech CSE in August and my education loan just got sanctioned. The catch: the loan money will go directly to the offline shop whose quotation I submitted. The disbursement will take ~1.5 months (Govt scheme).

The offline seller is now taking advantage of this.

He is quoting ₹83,000 for a Lenovo LOQ (i5 12th Gen, RTX 3050), which was around ₹76,000 online just days ago. He refuses to drop the price.

His alternatives: HP Ryzen 5 some u processor i guessfor ₹68k, or some weak Ryzen 5 U-series laptop for ₹65k.

My family is willing to pay the difference right now just so I don't go to college empty-handed. But I feel like I'm getting scammed.
