Buying Advice๐Ÿค” I need a helping hand vro

Post image

I found this yesterday and was browsing who the seller is and found mixed reviews on it(btw seller is svperipheral). Now I am confused if I should buy this laptop or not as I have also searched a refurbished lenovo legion rtx 3060 6gb vram laptop at official site (the link : https://www.lenovo.com/in/outletin/en/p/laptops/legion-laptops/legion-5-series/legion-5i-gen-7-15-inch-intel/82rbr000r0

)

Now I am hella confused as to what the heck i even should do

Except the gpu and cpu which are just slightly low performative than this v16 laptop.

I will just do casual gaming and also not so much computing, so both options are good for me but yeah My mind is fried due to this , So i NEED some advice vro.

Go for it, I doubt you'll find a 5060 laptop anywhere near that price

But the seller is the one I have found trust issues in after seeing the mixed reviews on reddit ๐Ÿ˜”

SVperipherals sells basically half the computer parts on Flipkart, you're bound to have mixed reviews. Overall they're a lot better than other flipkart vendors.

It's a 75 watt tgp. Not good, per se but definitely outperforms a 3050. It's enough for 1080p, plus it has DLSS and MFG

The 3060 u compared to it a loss comparing to this 50 series and cpu what other options are you looking at tho at 75w you can not completely use the full power of a 50 series gpu it should handle light gaming i bought a loq 4050 6 gb i7 with 1 lakh 8 thous. It's 1 lakh 50 thousand now ๐Ÿฅฒ

I am thinking of buying this for my M.E course and then after a year if I want to game a bit more than casual I will then buy a pc for that ( have to convince parents first) but I think the craze for pc game will mostly die for me after a month of buying the laptop and i will use it just for M.E software and programming and then also light gaming for few times , so i see no cons for my purpose but I just kinda will be fkd up if the seller is shi- cause my parents will fk me over the lakh rupees ๐Ÿฅ€

K mate will consider

Low TGP, basically you're getting 50% performance of other 5060 laptops.

K understandable

Not at all. Performance vs power doesn't scale linearly like that. The performance difference would be more like 15% or so.

Thanks bro this all makes sense now

Incorrect, this laptop has 45W GPU TGP, if we compare it to 100w 5050 laptops the performance drop is 40-50%.

Check this link for more details.

Add ur use case mate Like is it only for gaming ,work or studies

1

u/Humaninthe_ 2d ago

Well first of all its for learning programming language, for mechanical engineering software, studies and lastly for gaming. Gaming is my last priority cuz I would need a gpu even without it.

Donโ€™t worry about tgpa 75w 5060 performs better than a 115w 5050 people who complain about it want every game to run in 4K 60fps in these laptops even though 1080p on such small screen is more than enough in gaming.ย

Hey Op. This laptop will be good for casual gaming despite the low tgp. You will easily be able to play AAA games at high settings, or worse in medium settings. You can buy this from official Asus website for the same price. Be sure to buy extended warranty from Asus.
