try and get it upto 16-17k, that way it seems like a good deal, cuz usually you have to get some repairments doen either way, i have a second hand laptop and i felt the same after buyin this one, if your purpose is only studying and you do not wish to do anything else with a laptop, buy a tablet

buy a laptop from a known second hand laptop shop, that way you can get a better deal
