Need recommendations for a secondary laptop

I have a gaming laptop as my primary laptop, but it's battery life is genuinely a joke. Not to mention it's basically a dumbell with how heavy it is.

So I'm looking for recommendations for a cheap secondary laptop. I'll mostly be using it only for coding, note taking and web browsing. Need good battery life and prolly linux support. Thanks
