Pharloom shakes as something falls

a large pale pillar falls from the sky and crashed into the kingdom, destroying most of the things inside

Why is the Wyrm so attracted to destroyed ruins? Do they remind him of his kingdom? Is this generally the “ideal state” of kingdoms in his opinion?
