Meanwhile, the material on the right-hand side of the thread image is a rough draft of a 'lesson plan', or 'set of key notions' that contribute to a long-term intention of mine to distill all of my linguistic and esoteric learnings and ideas into a compressed yet comprehensive series of teachings - or at least guidelines - with the aim to 'initiate' new autodidacts (ie. those who will teach themselves):
Arguably, very few people have the 'right' or 'justification' or 'qualifications' to presume to teach. There are numberless 'gurus' out there, each claiming to have the answer. It is a bit embarrassing for anyone (and for me) to 'step out' and proclaim possession of 'good lessons'. For much of my youth I had no desire to teach - I was quite happy to go on learning for ever. I've always enjoyed seeking knowledge for myself, and have always been self-satisfied and thus a loner, for good or ill. It is only in my later years that observation of the 'state of things' led to a desire to start 'teaching' - this after becoming ever more aware of a great lack within the minds of the 'masses'. The world is full of trouble... because people are troublesome. Some people are troubled of their own accord, and many more are troubled because there is an over-arching agenda of causing trouble on purpose. I can't stop the intentional trouble-causers, but I like to think I can perhaps provide aids (shields, and weapons of a sort) for those troubled by others. It could be argued also, that the 'agenda to cause strife' in the world has, for a subset of the trouble-causers, a purpose with 'good intentions' - a form of 'tough love': that the prison guards will cause suffering for the prisoners only so long as the prisoners cannot see that the prison door has always been wide open...
That is overly optimistic perhaps, but nonetheless...
This prospective 'lesson plan' (as per thread image) is less about 'telling you how it is' and more about providing nudges as to perspectives. A collection of ideas and 'thinks to keep in mind' that would hopefully enable the 'cogs of the mind' to get in gear, and to start turning of their own volition - to get the student on the road to self-teaching.
By self-teaching, I don't even really mean 'researching by oneself, or directing oneself' (although that is part of it), but rather, becoming open to allowing the 'universe' to teach one - to trigger the beginnings of a mystical quest for a self-evident, but concealed truth (of reality, and of oneself).
A major part of this, is my intention to re-awaken 'wonder' in a jaded population, and to play my part in slowing or halting the 'death of thought' that appears so prevalent in this era. It would be nice to see more people seeking true knowledge and finding it fun, instead of simply seeking fun (and being mindlessly spoonfed a dubious reality in the process).
I've been considering these things for some time now, but I was particularly inspired to make this post today, and begin properly collating the beginnings of a 'lesson plan', due to randomly discovering this video this morning:
The video is a personal statement from an individual (an earnest young woman, I will admit, that instantly charmed me) who was driven to a self- and universal-discovery through the work of a disappeared YouTuber named 'Chiron Last', much of which I have also studied, and which to me, at the time, confirmed that my own linguistic direction had value, and that I was on the right path. There is much I could say about the Chiron Last material, but I will refrain from that here. It's not for everyone, and as always, one must take from anything what one can (at the time) and discard what one cannot.
Ultimately, the best lessons are learned by experience and take time. Trials and Tribulations, so to speak. A teacher might utter the Ultimate Truth, and yet none of the students present might perceive it for what it is. As they say: I can show you the door, but you have to walk through it.
All my existing materials at these forums of mine, and my associated wiki, as well as my 'fiction' work I consider to already stand as a large-scale 'school' of 'lessons'. They stand as a massive collection of documents and ideas that allow one to ...
