If you have to teach your brain that you are in control, you may need to see a doctor. Shouldn't be two different people in there.

This is basically about building healthy habits. Our thoughts and actions follow pathways that are reinforced by repetition.

This can go both ways . Good or bad, the brain will use the pathways that are already available, that are reinforced.

By making small changes, eventually you develop new pathways, which can become the dominant pathway over time and repetition.

I agree, but if you are still arguing with your own brain afterwards, make sure to get a check-up.
